great song, never heard this version but have similar cds. thats what I love about collector series, it may cost a bit more but you get great rarities like this gem. thanks for sharing
A Top 5 hit for The Everly Brothers in December 1958. It was kept out of the top spot by a cartoon of all things (The Chipmunk Song by The Chipmunks with David Seville). But, hey, you can't take away the greatness of The Everly Brothers. I believe that they were the first brother act to make it big in the Rock Era.
excellent...I believe I do like this as much as the original, which i do believe followed this demo...but it sounds like only one everly here, am i i right?
One of my high school math teachers used to sing part of the song to us from time to time. Good times :-). He told us who sang it, but I truly think this is the first time that I have ever heard the original.
"Problems, problems, problems all day long. Will my problems work out right or wrong..."
The liner notes say "Don Everly still testing the vocal and gaining in assurance". He does sound so young and a bit like Phil here.[from "All They Had to Do was Dream" cd]

It does sound like Phil talking and chuckling in the beginning, but I am pretty sure this is a VERY young and innocent i Don singing.
