There's a verse in this song, that makes me think that this song is about someone being taken away. The way she says "till the siren comes calling- and it's making me evil". A Siren was a beautiful creature with a beautiful voice that lured men towards them, a curse, or death. But I think, in a way, she means to be losing someone to another women, thus driving her to anger.

Only found a version here on YT (couldn't find it now, but suppose it's still there) which was made by someone with a pc program. Wasn't bad at all, much better than I expected. But I didn't kept it, so... Sorry mate.

Having just found this song and with the lyrics available it seems to me that she is talking about the duality within every women. She loves and hates the boy because it is her nature to do so, echoing Kate Bush "Is there so much hate for the ones we love?"

In simplest terms my interpretation is at that she is in a loving relationship where they are sweet, kind, loving etc. The relationship is stable on the outside but on the inside she feels bored and can easily give into temptation...the siren inside of her will break out and she will turn "evil" and break her partner's heart and her own.

That's my rough interpretation of the song. What do you think?

Also in this song Pearl is Natasha's alter ego who is self absorbed and destructive according to Natasha. She does not care about anyone else, she is evil. Also this song could be about the mythical Sirens. When men heard the Siren call (Siren Song) they would be lured to them and eventually a watery death. Done :) But honestly, you have not lived until you have heard this song live! I just came back from her gig in Birmingham, it was mind blowing. There are really no words to describe how awesome she was tonight. Also her support acts were excellent...School of Seven Bells and Caroline Weeks. Definitely worth checking out.
