  • I enjoy hollowbodies... this guitar is the perfect mix.

  • Nice. I own a tobacco burst Gibson Les Paul Signature from 1974. My pride and joy for 15 years now.

  • I OWNED ONE EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE ,,IT WAS AN ASS KICKIN AXX,,,I WISH I HAD NEVER GOTTEN RID OF IT

  • there was a guy in a band here in australia that had one of these...look up.."the johnnys..bleeding heart" its here on u tube...its from about 1986...it was his pride and joy...

  • This is one of the few guitars Gibson made with Les Paul's own designed low-impedance pickups. They need to use a transformer in the lead either internally or externally to match the impedance with the typical amplifier inputs. These gave a wider frequency response than is possible with typical pickup designs. Les used a model similar to this in his regular gigs up until he passed away. Very rare and cool guitar.

  • Mike,

Would you please post a longer detailed video about this rare guitar. It's the very first video on youtube. Show us the tonal possibilities with all the pickups, in/out of phase and output configurations. Please? Best wishes!
