God calls us to understanding, not of why people kill, but of our role in this lifetime. There will always be someone or many people waiting to kill someone. The fall of man after Adam made it so. Whether you believe this or not, forgiving your killer should liberate you from the heaviness of your avenging heart. Your mistake is that you haven't read, nor understand the scriptures. Jesus gives all the chances in the world for everyone to repent. But it not like your killer is gonna go in like nilly willy if his heart doesn't feel any remorse for what he did. You can't be a believer after gutting someone, and ask for forgiveness if you don't feel bad for that serious crime. God knows what's in your heart, so no one can lie to him. It would be impossible.
If the killer really felt bad and came to Jesus, repentful and not hiding his guilt, only then will forgiveness happen. You are born in sin, stop trying to explain yours and everybody else s sin. You were born in sin because of the fall with Adam and Eve. God is the only one that is HOLY and that is the point. There is no sin in heaven and you need His Holy Spirit to cleanse your soul from your sin and change your heart, so that you can go through that gate. He paid the price. @RowanRawrLovesYou If you approch the bible with an open mind, you would understand that when the Bible speaks of the earth standing on pillars or the bibe refairs to the four corners of the earth "it is speaking metaphorically," you will see this when you read these verses in their context. But the Bible does speak of the earth as a globe shaped object if you study the verse in John 3:7 you must be Born again.. hope this helps you God bless

It is by no means a stretch of the imagination or brainwashing to say that everyone (all religions and people included) are selfish, wicked people. The point is everyone is sinful, and getting people to admit that to their selfish selves is only the first step. That being said, it is probably the most difficult one.

I would argue against the idea that we are wicked and selfish by nature.The very fact that the news covers these events is a feather in my cap actually.The news covers what is outside the norm.If wicked behavior like murder and theft were the norm then the news wouldn't bother covering it.Instead you would be seeing little johnny helping a old lady cross the street or something.Most people are good people who have the occassional errant thought but typically do the right thing.

Not really, I'll spare myself the waste of time for the explination. I don't hate religious people at all. Scientists aren't here to argue nor debate. We live in the world of facts and evidence. Using the 2 to form theorys to explain what is not yet fully understood, like where we came form. We used to also think the earth was flat. There is a difference. You ALWAYS debate, because you belief isn't even a theory. It's "just because", and of course all other religions are wrong but yours. :)

Some people dismiss, too readily, the things of God. All you have to do is read the bible. People are so afraid to read the bible, thinking that they might become zombies or something. The bible was made to liberate you from all the lies perpetuating around as truths. Why take chances? What will be the harm in merely reading it and seeing for yourself? What is everyone afraid of? I've spent my childhood at a christian school(not sure why excactly) and found, even at a very young age, the story of Adam and Eve, talking snakes, donkeys, Noah's arc etc. outragoues and ludicrous.
When I actually got around to reading all of it, it's full of violence and anger from a jelaous insecure God who picks a people to rampage through the country side to make room for themselfs and the coming saviour.

God calls us to understanding, not of why people kill, but of our role in this lifetime. There will always be someone or many people waiting to kill someone. The fall of man after Adam made it so. Whether you believe this or not, forgiving your killer should liberate you from the heaviness of your avenging heart. The heaviness doesn't go away if you serve your own justice and get the killer yourself. This is not a movie, this is life. It, only, stays with you and builds on you.

Your mistake is that you haven't read, nor understand the scriptures. Jesus gives all the chances in the world for everyone to repent. But it not like your killer is gonna go in like nilly willy if his heart doesn't feel any remorse for what he did. You can't be a believer after gutting someone, and ask for forgiveness if you don't feel bad for that serious crime. God knows what's in your heart, so no one can lie to him. It would be impossible.

You are born in sin, stop trying to explain yours and everybody else s sin. You were born in sin because of the fall with Adam and Eve. God is the only one that is HOLY and that is the point. There is no sin in heaven and you need His Holy Spirit to cleanse your soul from your sin and change your heart, so that you can go through that gate. He paid the price. You may not like that but it's the truth and you will see one day, when you stand before God and try to explain your sin away to Him.
