I use a macbook pro and I have been in secondlife for a long time and I wanted to show a friend what it is like to get her to want to join but the problem I am having is that my character looks bad looks see through you cant see her face when she wheres hair and when its off looks like her face is torn off and no eyes

@sparroestar22 i know it sucks!!! i had to get this stupid mac 10.4.11 and i cant play it anymore. my sisters boyfriend is too lazy to fix the laptop i used to play it on. and the update to 10.5 is too expensive!

mmmm i bought this mac on 2006 and i love my mac, the only thing i hate is my video card, Intel GMa 950 sucks balls!!!!, u cant even play Sims 3 well -_-

Well when you concider that you can play gmod on med settings and play css on same settings i would say its a ok GPU!

There's also an option on the older MacBooks that will leftclick when the trackpad is tapped, and rightclick when the trackpad is tapped with two fingers. On the current gen MacBooks, the bottom-right corner of the trackpad acts as a rightclick

lower your graphics on the preferences. there will be no choppyness. Its very helpful.

the jerkyness on second life isnt really due to the card, its because SL is really laggy and intensive on the CPU, I am running an old 2.8ghz pentium D and I have to say, that macbook runs it better than mine.

Your video card is not really meant for high graphics gaming.

no, you will get a slideshow and incompatibility issues in some cases, however you can play at good framerates games from 1996 to 2002

to bad the mac caps the gma 950 at 64 megs, if you have the gma 950 on a windows machine with 2 gigs of ram it will run up to 224 megs shared memory

the new macbooks which came out at the end of 2007 are much better. many upgrades have been made

Hi Lister i have exactly the same spec mac book as you with a decent internet connection but Second Life runs nowhere near as smoothly as it does on yours. I have it running in openGL. Do you have any ideas how to get it running like yours?? Thanks very much

Its easy by Vmware or native(osx86project).I try them both 1st is ok but in second there was no sound problem with my soundcard.I like your Mac!

the intel gma can do way more than that, like running halo pc on max settings while capturing with fraps... :D
