That was my point exactly. Did you also notice that everyone reconnected with someone special from their past (Aang and his past lives, Zuko and Iroh, Katara and Sokka with their dad). But Toph didn't reconnect with anyone special. She didn't even get a "life changing field trip" with Zuko. Why couldn't Mai join Ty Lee and the other Kyoshi warriors? Then there would have been Sukka, Zutara and TAANG !!!! L.O.L.
