  • Yes indeed zonda may be better, but where you gonna drive that, where you gonna park it, and get the parts if something happens to it....the gtr is most likely 3 times as less than the zonda. The parts are cheaper, its more reliable and if you were to put in the remainder amount of difference you had between the cars to mod the Skyline..It will never see the taillight

  • Pagani Zonda R is the current King of the Nurburgring. I'm not joking, It's only a little over 30 seconds slower than Steffon Bellof's 956 which did 6:11 seconds on that track.

The 300zx beat out the Vette in every comparison test done by numerous magazines including Car and Driver, and Motor Trend.   • TheOfficialKC- Bugatti Veyron and Caparo T1 both do 0-60 in 2.5 secs. The Ultima GTR720 holds the record of 0-100-0 mph. but, yes, 73.4 in a slalom is good, that's basically what the Ferrari Enzo did.

    vitaobater- yes, the Veyron has hit Nurburgring. it did its lap in 7:40.

  • The Caparo T1 will break the record when it is finally tested. The Ultima GTR720 holds the record with a two way pass average. The Veyron is a tiny bit slower with 2.6-2.8 times. It hasn't broken the record.

By the way the Caparo was tested a few months ago, 0 to 60 in 2.5sec, 0 t0 100 in 5.000sec, top speed is something like 214mph if I remember correctly, don't quote me on the top speed but I know the acceleration figures are true to what I read.

  • The Caparo was in a magazine which picked up and read in a book store and the Ultima acceleration figure is on the Ultima website. I think Caparo has since put their acceleration on their website as well. Did you know it has a power to weight ration which is 2X greater than the Veyron, 1000BHP per ton. LOL how much does that rock.

  • The new American Spec GTR weighs in at 3900 lbs has 480 hp and 430 ft lbs of torque (at the wheels). 0-60 record holder at 3.2 seconds. Breaking from 60 is 98 ft (Also a record). and Slalom is 74 mph (not a record Viper beat it by 1 mph) Just thought that should be put out there because some one said a car with those specs does not exist anywhere... Unless I misread if thats the case my bad :)

  • The GT-R does weigh about 3800lbs. It has a claimed 480hp but to have the stats it does it will make way over 500hp. Its fastest 0-60 is 3.3sec that I've seen. Not a record. The record is the Ultima GTR720 at 2.6sec. The R&T slalom time was 73.4mph which is fast. The braking was 108 feet not a record. This is all for Road & Track.

  • some tests get 3.8 seconds to 60 consistently, and about 105 ft to zero from 60, those are the very best specs for the gtr. im not bashing it, im just saying that the zo6 and 911 turbo have gotten the same 0-60 times and the viper also stops in under 100 ft (we havent gotten to the acr package yet). but is still unbelievable how such a heavy car can cleary handle and brake better than supercars that weigh half a ton less. how the **** are they destroying PORSCHE at their own game?

  • I question that too, considering the Noble M400 only has 425 BHP 0 to 60 in 3.5 sec and weights 2300lbs while in retrospec the GTR weighs a ridiculous 3800 pounds 495BHP based on physics alone the claim that Nissan is making is nuts, 0 to 60 in 3.6 is faster than an Enzo which has 650BHP and weighs 3200lbs, a Jaguar XJ220 550bhp 0 to 60 in 3.6 and weighs 3020lbs and before the Mclaren, it was the fastest car in the world? So how is it possible?

  • The superior drivetrain is what makes it possible. It gets the power to the ground better than all of those other cars u mentioned because most if not all are 2 wheel drive. The extra weight actually helps decrease wheel spin + it's very sophisticated all wheel drive ATTESSA system coupled with nissans launch control.

  • To me paddle is not a luxury. Stick is 100x more fun to drive. Who cares if it knocks off 1/2 second on the shift. The Z06 still beats it in the 1/4 mile. Thats with less power, less wheels driving, leaf springs, and manual with no launch control. On the track the GT-R barely wins.

  • All Ultimas are street legal. They cost $120,000. Weigh 2100lbs, and have up to 800hp. I don't think they have radio or a/c but you could easily add radio. Many people buy it and use it as a daily driver. When the Ultima braoke the acceleration records it drove on the street to the event. When it broke the Top Gear lap time it drove to the Top Gear track.

The Nissan would be boring to drive because it has no feel and it drives itself.

  • The GT-R has more power and AWD. The Corvette has less weight. If you have ever read anything you would know that the Corvette handles really well. It still manages to go as fast as the GT-R. Against Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, and even the GT-R it is the only car that posts over 1g on the skidpad. So the Corvette handles good. It's main limitation is the tires. They aren't that good like the GT-R's tires.

  • I am trying to convince you but you just don't understand. Even though the Z06 on paper should be blown away buy the GT-R it isn't. I generally don't take skidpad into consideration, or slalom, or 0-60. 1/4 mile and track times matter. The corvette wins in 1/4 mile and is barely beat on track.

  • The GT-R does 12.6 1/4 mile. The GT-R makes more power. In japam it is dyno'd at 480whp. 15% (low for AWD) drivetrain loss equals 570hp. (torque X RPM)/5252=hp. 530hp. 10hp per 100hp to maintain performance=585hp. Average 560hp=More than the 505hp Corvette. GT-R has lower drag. .27 and corvette is .31 The GT-R has a lower CdA. On paper the GT-R is faster.

  • Do you understand the difference between AWD and RWD? AWD gets more traction = faster. Extreme electronic aids = faster. But that all = Weight. That is why there is no 3000lb 500+ car with those components. Delete those to get weight down and you have a Corvette. Get better tires for the Vette like the GT-R and the Vette will be as fast. If you think a 70K car that is as fast as most 300k cars doesn't perform to its expectations you are dumb.

  • I understood you. You didn't understand me. In order to make a 505hp 300lb car it would have to have no AWD and all the electronics of the GT-R. Therefore it would be similar to the Corvette. With the amount of technology gone into the GT-R to make it this fast I doubt a 300lb, 505hp, RWD Nissan would be as fast as a Z06. But if chevy made an AWD, electronic sportscar it would smoke the GT-R.
