Great show, I can`t be having with all the mind bending ,gut wrenching violence and blood in many other shows, it`s funny, clever and witty with some good plots thrown in and Amanda is always nice to see anyway ! Series 3 is airing in Norway at the moment :)
The show is relatively new here in the U.S.(I live in New York). I completely agree with you. The show is smart, funny, and humane.
By the way, how popular is the show with younger people in the U.K. ? I imagine that many of them don't enjoy it- it seems that British and American youth have really been coarsened and dulled by the reigning pop culture.
I am pleased that you like new tricks, the writing is a joy. Amanda is relatively new.
James Bolan has been in TV particularly in the Likley Lads, Dennis Waterman has been in british cops programs, check " the sweeney", Alun Armstrong was in a film called "brassed off"dipicting the end of the coal mining industry in the north of england.
I think you guys are smart enough to realise that british tv has some gems, new tricks , I believe is a breath of fresh air
Oh you've gotta love a bit of New Tricks!

This is an incredible show, long may it be part of our culture, amanda rules and the boys love it, an oasis in the desert of modern TV.

@SuperSuperStep
Great! It is a very funny show and it should garner an audience across the age spectrum.
I may not know the one with souffle. In the States, we're at least one series behind, I think.
