Well, actually, this is one of the few vids I've made that I haven't had to change the music too. ^_^
So, sorry, I don't know what song you're talking about. I looked it up though, and my guess would be that you're talking about Silent Running, by Mike and The Mechanics, but that's just a guess. Sorry.
I've finally found your video! :D I was trying to show my friends this video yesterday.
I don't know which version it was, but the last one I remeber of this had a different soundtrack - a more upbeat one. When Ace is running, the lyrics are something like "little girl you're running, come take my hand I'm near you". What is the song for that? (Singer&title, please).
I'd be so grateful for the information.
Lovely video, anyway. Although I prefer the other soundtrack, I love this song. :)
The three Doctors that I feel were most unfairly treated by the BBC have to be Paul McGann, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, in that order. McGann because the only occasion we have of him being the Doctor on screen is the movie, Baker for the atrocious costume and stories he was forced through, and McCoy for being the Doctor when the series was officially brought to a close. I think he could've done at least another two years, he was very good!
@monologuh I totally agree not only did the Americans ruin British heritage by making that god awful t.v movie but they were the ones that killed the doctor! Seein Sylvesters doctor die was unberable to watch so angrey that was his final apperiance as doctor he deserved better!
He was awesome and was the reason i got into Doctor Who when i was young. I loved the way he could sometimes be really funny (the famous 'rice pudding' speech!) and sometimes be really, really dark (i.e what he did to Davros at the end of Rememberance Of The Daleks). After Tennant, McCoy is my favourite Doctor!
@iammrmonkey Sylvester's the one doctor I've never really got to watch, I've been going back and watching episodes i've missed, I'll have to get to his episodes sooner than I planned, by all the praise he gets in this comment section, I'm sure I'll enjoy them!
Well everyone have different opinions, but I strongly believe that 7th Doctor was awesome!!! I can't imagion any other doctor sayin the line "ashes to ashes, dust to dust". Relations between him and Ace were great too. There were so much emotions in them! Watching late night Silver Nemesis, or Battlefield I always saw in my mind his light- hearted smile, or this dark look... McCoy truly was and is The Doctor
@harendziak12 10 is my favorite Doctor, but for anyone who saw End of Time, I think #7 would have handled the final showdown in a more interesting way. (Spoilers duh)
#7: *calmly and with his ashes to ashes tone* "The link is broken, back into the time war Rassilon back into hell."
Rassilon: You die with me.
#7: "No Rassilon" The doctor calmly steps aside, already having known what was burning in both the master's hearts.

He's sort of like an unfunny rowan atkinson/mr bean impersonator! He's undoubtedly the worst doctor of the ten. Tennant and Tom Baker are probably joint first, then maybe pertwee or ecclestone. the last three are probably, colin baker, peter davison, then last of all sylvester mccoy. I don't really see what he brings to the role really.
Mcoy started off as a clown (and that was always whathe was - see No. 73) and then matured into what is now seen as the *serious* Doctor (Ecclecsonte etc). While doing it he never missed a beat. He could go from comedy to absolutley ape sh#$ scary in one second. Henve why Auntie cancelled it... it's a kids programme, right?!!
of all the doctors he hasnt changed a bit , despite peter davison is a little younger than him , he should appear in a multi doctor thing with matt smiths doctor , that would be a great pair!
what do you mean 'played?' It's still there. As for the song, it's called Tell Me Now. The rest of the info is up there in the info box, so I won't tell you lest this vid should get it's sound removed like all the rest of my vids.
Slyv was a fine choiceas The Doctor. Unfortunately like his immediate predecessor Colin Baker, he was landed with some truly awful scripts. Especially in his first season (Dragonfire was particularly bad). It 's for stories such as The Curse Of Fenric, Ghost Light Survival, Silver Nemesis, Remembrance etc, that the 7th Doctor should be remembered for IMHO
Yeah, I completely agree. A lot of people dislike Colin & Sylvester's Doctors and blame the actors when it was pretty much just poorly written story lines =[
Curse of Fenric was excellent and Ghost LIght as well :-)
Yeah, ditto! I love all of his stories; enjoyed 'em all, thought they were all creative and entertaining =] Sly really makes me smile, no matter what!
sylvester started modern dr who. all of todays fans owe him , sophie and the team a great deal, as do all of us oldies. what a great man and a superb doctor. my doctor.
2 be honest i dont think tht Sylvester McCoy got the recognision he deserved for his Doctor - he reallu was gd - but other things had already doomed the show - till now
this is the doctor that hinted to us that doctor who could go on and become the series it is today - without him , christopher eccleston and david tennant and matt smith would never have chosen to become this powerfull character- - 5/5
its a good video, but did you have to put in the bit where he gets shot? it was so unfair- he didnt die saving humanity or anything like that- he just gets shot by accident. so unfair. rly want 2 watch time and the rani, but u cant get DVDs and my tape player is broken... :(
I know where you could watch time and the rani. You'd have to pm me though; I've been getting rather paranoid lately, what with Mgm and co. crunching down on my videos. ^_^
THank you: he was my doctor, and arguably the most underrated of them all- that season 26 was one of the best in Dr Who's History is much to his credit (and of course the team at the time)
Doc7 is the best and as the then-current Doctor he sparked my imagination watching him on PBS in the late 80s/early 90s. Really helped me get through some hard times with school and all.
I don't think it matters. For one thing I have seen some of these clips in many of the Seven tributes here. For another McCoy only had twelve stories so there not a huge amount of stories to use clips from.
This is my Favorite Seven tribute so far, good job.
Well not neccessarily I have seen these same clips in several tributes by several people. Except for the TVM clips and I suspect I may be proved wrong about that eventually.
Great video! I enjoyed it up until you got to the movie and it reminded me of how much I hated how they killed off the 7th Doctor. They did a real crappy job with that. It really sucked!
The music is so peaceful, relaxing and soothing that I can't focus on the video. I just think about the Doctor instead lol
