Not bad but it's difficult to pick out the melody (sung by the tenors) as the women are singing too loudly...in my choir we have the same problem: a tune that everyone likes gets sung too loudly!
they really need to drop the jaw and shape the words better. and put there heads down and sing out of there stomach rather than out of there throats like on the solo it is really bad. and the iif is annoying. they sound like they were from a different country. lol at 2:08 the person claps because they thought is was over. i like it when the people dont clap, like we stop then about 10 or so seconds later they start to clap. but overall okay
a different country? different country from what? the good ol' USA, I imagine... In fact it is an Austrian choir (Austria is a country in a place called Europe, on the other side of the Atlantic). ;)
My brother and Director of my chorus said it best "When we read music , we don`t make music"...I don`t like seeing any chorus perform with Music in their hands , even if its just to give an "overall" look of uniformity....who`s arrangement is this ? I`m having a fit getting permission to perform the Kings Singers arrangement.
@woodze21 i know exactly what your talking about. their vowels arent talll enough theyre really wide and they arent using their diaphrams my chorus teacher drills us all the time to make sure that we never do this and now i know why lol we sing this song all the time and hearing them sing it that was just awkward to listen to
The Dixie chics should have learned from this song..especially the part about closing their mouths and cooling their heads and warming their hearts...that way , a billion people wouldnt have burnt and smashed their cds for being USA haters.
I don't think they actually sold a billion cds. Have it your way though: It still amazes me that 5 years after the fact, and in spite of all that has happened since, people can still claim that her objection to war makes her a USAhater.
