I live in Canada and medication commercials are not allowed. Up here Doctors make decisions on medication for patients. Advertising to a client about a medication will lead to people asking their doctors for medication that they don't need. My daughter has ADHD. It is not because we are bad parents or she is a bad kid. It has to do with the executive center in the brain that controls what is important to what is not as important. My daughter has ADHD. It is not because we are bad parents or she is a bad kid. It has to do with the executive center in the brain that controls what is important to what is not as important. To the ADHD brain EVERYTHING is important so the brain is overloaded with stimuli which makes it almost impossible to concentrate.
It's almost like being in a room with hundreds of radios and all are set to a different station, BUT they are all at the same loud volume.
