Ah! The good old 80's - a time when it was possible to leave your car boot open and full of groceries and no one would think of stealing them (or the car). It's all sexting and happy slapping nowadays.
@jockadoobee Too true my good man, too true. Why I remember in the 80's football fans were a lovely bunch of fellows, you'd get none of this drunken shouting and whatnot that you get on the terraces nowadays.
And young ladies refrained from opening their particulars until they got married to a fine gentleman. Not like now, when marriage is so undervalued.
Can anyone identify the make / model of computer @ 0.39? It actually looks like there are many pieces missing if you freeze frame (and rather dated even by 80s standards !). Apropos the Post Office Giro Bank ad - in 1985 "banking hours" were 9.30am to 3.30pm so having a bank that opened between 9am to 5.30pm weekdays and 9am until 1pm at weekends was something of a selling point.
National GiroBank, we're different because we have more to offer, we'll take your savings, then use them to pay off debts and go bust =) congratulations!

Well, i'm a nurse and i can tell you all for nothin' if she's got the energy to go running at lunchtime (if you lucky enough to get one) then she's not working hard enough!
I think this is one of the best adverts of the eighties because the adverts of today are absolutely lousy . There should bring these eighties adverts back today.
yep you are so right or as my nan tells me everyday they don't make them like they used to. Have you seen the weetabix 80's pirate add amazing worth a watch if not
I agree I would deffinatly sign it I have noticed a few old ones back like the lego add and the wagon wheel advert. Everyone loves nostalgia and I am sure I read somewhere that companies were starting to do it because it raises sales that I can beleive. I can recomend watching the pirate weetabix add its awsome.
@flyingdamingo Did you see the lego advert on tv a few weeks ago with tommy cooper as the voice over that advert was definetely made in the eighties good times.
Science brings you Silkience....nowerdays it's more like "Infused with nuetrellium and cryptonite for a shine you can see from Jupiter!"
This was when Science started badgering women and indeed there after men, with bollocks about chemicals in a vein effort to try and amaze and impress the average ignoranus....WTF..it's either got it or it doesn't...I don't need warp speed hair shampoo LOL!
