anyone who doesnt think this movie is possible should walk by their local middle school and listen in to the conversations kids these days have, i can promise you wont be hearing about puppies and bunnies. it might not have happened to you but this lifestyle does exist.
IT'S ANNOYING that everyone is blaming this movie for the mistakes they made. You learn young not to fall for anything. This movie is so true, and it makes me sad. My best friend's life is really similar to Tracy's. She's poor, and her dad's not in the picture anymore. She started doing drugs, drinking, and smoking at around 13... She lost her virginity at 14, and she cuts, too. All of that before I even had my first kiss. I hate this society... Kids shouldn't be like this. :/
Here is the thing, this movie is like scarface (I'm in no way comparing both movies) in that scarface was seen to be just this movie about drugs but it was a movie about the status quo at the time the same as this movie. Its not like dazed and confused (great movie) where the message was just to get drunk and do drugs and have fun, but in this it was this is what happens when you go down this path.

This was actually a really good movie. The director was very creative in making the film quality darker as the movie went on, referring to her spirit and life going down a downwards spiral. Some scenes are unexpected, which make it all the better. Well done, and I would recommend for audiences to see it.

I've 17 years old and i'm proud to say that none of these issues happened to be except for the eating thing do to wanting to be perfect however i quickly got my head in check before i caused damaged to myself. However my younger sister just turned 14 and she's been dealing with these issues to the point where she's ran away from home, the sad thing is we don't live together and its hard not being there to help her. I can proudly say this movie in a way saved me from that path.

That's the point about the whole movie; this is NOT what teenagers are supposed to act like. The movie shows how teenage girls with a difficult past and life can turn out like this. It is a sad movie.
My cousin was 13 when she saw this film and like the main character became addicted to drugs etc now she's 18 addicted to coke and other drugs lost a baby got arrested loads and gets beatin up by her boy friend

I watched as everyone sneaked into clubs, got drunk and touched each other in innapropriate places.
Now I'm in high school, more than a half of them aren't virgins and have done awful things that they are obviously going to regret.

That's the point about the whole movie; this is NOT what teenagers are supposed to act like. The movie shows how teenage girls with a difficult past and life can turn out like this. It is a sad movie.
