Issac Stern at his best! Shows the best emotion and discipline plus style from Beethoven. Look at the cadenza how unique it is and doesn't over speed like some people do.
@milstein91 Sorry.. there is a thing called theory and it is scientific and deeply.. so deeply intellectual.. for example you cannot play Beethoven's anything as if it is Tzigane.. and it really is not a commandment by Beethoven by himself but just a deed of mainstream true intellect.. or you well could play Beethoven's some works a bit like Brahms or Dvorak.. or even with kind of Sibelius attractions.. and
@milstein91 intonations of Jewish folk art and its a "compactness in strength" are mere in Oistrach's bone-hard interpretations and that is why he and I. Perlman are greedy, gluttonously wretched and lecherously polished inn-through their ways of expressions in whatever they play but A.S. Mutter is gaining and keeping all Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldi beyond the millennium into real star ages of "Giga and Terra Manners of Human Civilization" by real moderation and true discipline.
I don't understand the angry reply from Milstein 91 as I complimented Stern and had NO COMPLAINT!
I don't feel he had anything to take issue with at all! I have loved, studied Beethoven and his music all my life.

Maravilhoso!!
