hey mate, nice showcase of what you can do with it.
i dont suppose youve had any issues with yours?
mines doin this weird thing where it starts up fine, and goes sweet as for a while and then after about 5 minutes, it stops sending signal through and doesn't respond to any button pressing or knob twiddling, and the tempo LED starts flashing faster and faster until the thing just stops altogether. it's like it overheats or something. very frustrating.
it is amazing how easy it is to loop delay something and make an interesting original song from it. Sounding like something from the early 80's, good times those where.
That is why more people should always experiment like this, using off the shelf cheap gear and or used gear, or use what you already have in your garage/studio.
I enjoyed this video I think if people would actually listen there are some interesting drum patterns in here. And Fretkillr you're not paying for the bandwidth so stop hating

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to make loops with a delay line. Demo a product by quickly showing the range of delays and features. If you're going to jam or play you'd be better of post some of your serious electronic music compositions you channel info mentions. This stuff is lame and a waste of people time and band-width. Are there any real musicians out there. Screw the button pushers. Any boob can generate better music with Garage Band.
seriously just fuck off your being an asshole just for the sake of being one. i enjoy this video greatly and this guy is demonstrating how effective the dd10 is in creating all kinds of music now shut it ya sac o' wank

I was fooled into viewing this clip thinking it was a demo of the pedal and not to see someone jamming for 6 minutes. If you want people to view your channel produce short, concise, and informative clips. Why bore people with this nonsense? At least name it "me jammimg 6 minutes with a DD100".
Delays with Infinite repeat are relatively easy to find. You just have to cruise for early 80's digital models. My current fave is a Boss RDD-20. It can feedback on itself, so with some work you can't get some real bent sounds out of it.
You're not looking in the right places, then. I've never paid more than 35 USD (about 17 pounds) for an effect. Scour eBay, search for the lesser known effects, check out local pawn shops... it's all a matter of finding the deals.
Right now as a method of giving a middle finger salute to elitists that believe that good music can't be made without high end gear, I've switched to using Behringer exclusively, but beforehand, I've had everything from Zoom, to Roland, Lexicon, T.C. Electronic, Yamaha, etc. to include delays, reverbs, flangers, chorusing, compressors, bit crushers, filters, etc.
I just bought an Elektron Machinedrum, and its great. The effects section is so versatile. Its got the best hardware delay out there at the moment IMO. You CAN do INFINITE delay. You can overload the feedback (something Ive done with my own plugins) so you get great distortion effects with the compressor. There is also a band pass filter so you can filter the echoes down. Theres also modulation for your flanging effects, as well as some crazy stuff. Demos soon!
Cool, I guess I'll be picking up one of these then! Great work, I had no idea that I could use it as a looper too. Can the trailing echos go on for a long time?
They can go on for a long time, but they're not infinite which is a shame. I was thinking of taking the back off and wiring a loop in so that it is infinite (so there's no resistor dimming the echo each time) but I can't be bothered to be honest. Also for £20, it's not really a problem.
Dude my camera's even crappier. It runs on 3 AAA batteries and they last for about three days with the camera OFF. My digitech pedal has loop too but I think behringer is a much better brand. I do have a EuroRack mixer by them. I didn't know that they made pedals. You should make another video in the daytime.
I don't think it's rubbish. I have the microkorg and the Ion but I only have a Digitech digidelay pedal and a Boss digital reverb pedal. One improvement would be better lighting for your video... but the music sounds very good.
Yeah, I ended up putting about 4 brightness boosters on the original, the camera was crap and it was done at night, so yeah, it wasn't the best time to record. :D
Well could you give me some way to improve it? What I'm trying to do is just show how it can be used now just as a standard delay pedal but as a good looper too.

I know, but you may not expect it from such a cheap pedal.
It's not supposed to be highly musical, indeed I'd never release something like this as a track.
Have a read through the comments and you'll see that some people have enjoyed watching it, so IMO, it's not a waste of band-width at all.

Well, if you read the description, the video shows how the pedal can be used to build up musical loops...

Here's some advice for the demo nerds. Keep it short. I could demo this pedal in under a minute. You must be very lonely and bored.
Fretkillr 3 years ago
Hey, I'm just jamming! What's your problem with that?
futureimage 3 years ago
Pay no attention to the self absorbed "guitar g0d". :)
As for the "demo"...I liked it.

Perhaps instead of just slagging me off you could tell me why it "sucks".

Wait the DD100 is a reverb...
12milluz 4 years ago
No the DD100 is definitely the (older) digital delay pedal, I have it right in front of me.
The delay time goes up to 1.3 seconds and the feedback at this time setting will last for around 3 minutes before starting to fade out noticably.
futureimage 4 years ago
How long will it repeat for at the longest?

But are they 20 pounds? :D I really love the price of the Behringer pedals.
futureimage 4 years ago
Nah, I think they weigh a lot less than that. (Joking.)
But seriously, you can get stereo delay rack units for less than that if you know where to look.
thedivinechemical 4 years ago
Less than 20 pounds? I'm no expert, but I don't think I've ever seen a delay unit THAT cheap...
