  • Great job, guys! My college wind ensemble is performing this same arrangement for our winter concert next week. We don't have quite as many players as you guys, but we sound pretty good all the same. Keep up the good work! :)

  • Horns are soo weak....... Play out more

  • The singing is totally WEAK at the beginning! People need to learn how to get FIRED up about this music. This isn't some middle school arrangement, this is Hans freaking Zimmer. Get excited!

It seemed a tad slow, and the part where the winds start playing is not supposed to be legato/marcato at all. It's suppposed to be staccato. The percussion had it going though, very strong.

    Overall, very good.

  • Who's this Phillips guy you speak of? Why is he going to Paris?

  • Wow this is really good!!!! What instrument do u play? I am a saxophone!

  • My schools playing this for our spring concert, can someone tell me how good the bassoon part is? I haven't seen the music yet.

  • im in eighth grade and we are playing this.

  • thats cool how they all sing at the beginning!

  • that was good :) when my school played it, we made the oboe solo a flute solo.

  • tuba sloppiness at 1:47 I played this at my high school and that part was extra clean when i did it lol but you guys did a great job with this

  • Can someone please tell me where I can get the partitions of this song ? I would like to have the sax alto part. Than you so much !

  • is this a Sr. high band? or a Jr. high?

  • my orchestr do it better

  • nice job !!!!

  • sheesh people are pretty quick to criticize anything, but when its their work they defend it to the death. Learn to appreciate.

  • dude if thats your best than im srry for u im in N.C. and in one of the top bands there we could own u im srry but its true.

  • sorry but do u guys can see eny trombones???? cuz i dont hear them! lol....

  • lol now that you mension it I only see trumpets. strange?

  • flutists aren't so good... sorry

  • CRINGE

    who tuned these people??

  • oh gosh.. uh.. that really wasnt that good. they were way out of tune.

  • We are playing the exact same song with my orchestra, and I have to say that the brass in this band seem to have a hard time staying in tune, and that really ruined my experience of it.

  • except for a slight problem with being in tune, excellent!

    Great percussion! ^_^

  • The horn rips during Singapore were pretty bad and the oboe solo was out of tune and the tone quality wasn't that great and that is such a great solo. I played it in highschool for the orchestra version.

  • Whats that instruments at the start?

    Some gong r something?

  • Snare drum... bells... bass drum... singing... you mean the bells?

  • O yeah I meant the bells!

    Thanks!

  • @Snogbog25 Chimes?

  • @Snogbog25 it's a bell

  • @Snogbog25 they are chimes and snare drums and a bass drum (I play the chimes part in my school part)

  • oh my god, i think this was terrible. sorry , but it sounded very out of tune.

  • from any instrument except the trumpets

  • I think the high notes are extremly out of tune

  • 5:30 is the best part

  • oboe solo sounded really out of tune, the chains after the singing were pretty meh,,, and as a whole the song sounded off pitch alot of the time., but tbh it was good, ive bin playing along with it on haha. hopefully my school will do better :)

  • Not bad, but I'm still fond of this middle school's pirates. I love the fact that you have vocal background. The percussion parts are also quite nice.

  • Actually yes, the vocal was a very nice touch

The coin shaking was pretty awesome as well

  • My apology, at 6:15 it is too slow. That is where the trumpet parts should be doubled tongued if at the right tempo.

  • It sounds great but too slow. At 5:15, the trumpet parts should be double tongued, and if that was double tongued, then people need to work on double tonguing faster cause I don't think I could have double tongued that slow. Otherwise... it was well done. Trumpets need work. I'm a trumpet player in college, so i'm a little critical on players that play the trumpet. I've heard worse. Really, a good performance, just should have been quicker.

  • why are all american high school oboes that bad?

my 13 year old pupils sound much better than this!!!

  • agreed

  • i love our band!!! we sound awesome!

  • sssssiiiiiii!!!

    yes!! this is the song!!!

il mio maestro della banda l'ha chiesta ma gliene hanno data un'altra!! questa è quella giusta!!!

  • I wish my old school would've played cool stuff like this.....

  • I'm so glad our oboe(oh no i called him) is GONE :D

yay. I should have had that solo...not...

    <3Syd

  • Hey Andrew its Kaitlynn I never knew how good we actually sound! Maybe Mr. Phillips yells at us for a reason! He still loves us or thats what he says ;D

  • Mr. Phillips had to drive Paris home today... heheh

  • I played This soung Before They went on stage in the middle school GO CMS

  • my band! were so amazing X3

  • Oh hi Leah :P

  • Wow good. In my senior year which is 09-10 school year Im gonna do this song for my senior piece. X3 Im in love with the 3 movie.

    Nice singing too :)

  • did u guys like make stuff up ?

  • ...No? What do you mean?

  • he means like what they do during the jazz band solos

  • I love the percussion, they did some other twists than other videos.

  • this piece sounds wonderful. <3 i love it.

  • Btw, I looooove it sooo much. xD

  • Hey. I played the trumpet solo. >3 Not my band though. This is the band that played closest to MY band, but not the lyrics.

  • good!

  • your band's percussion effects were better than ours. but we definately played the wohle song faster.

ours is in my channel if you want to see.

    good job though!

  • oh but they didnt play the Singapore part

  • im in the clawson middle school band and we played the other version of this song. it was awesome(:

  • it's like a romantic song with no climax and there are so many so slurs. the singing was nice though. no climax by the horns in the up is down and the trombones failed to bring up to the climax at bar 49.

the flow was smooth though, and the oboe solo is nice!!!

  • ur band is really great the singing is good our band played this arangment to our f horn was not as good as urs though sometimes clarinet sound sloppy. our band used trumpet for solo not an oboe.

  • That solo's brutal on a trumpet. =(

  • pretty cool. remixed the song n everything. u guys should have tounged the notes more though. everythings slured. at least those playing the down beats. did u guys mix it or did u buy a different version of the song? cuz the one my band plays sounds nothing like that.

  • It's a version arranged by Jay Bocook I guess, you can listen to them on the jwpepper website if you search for them on there.

  • it audio sample was only up to bar 88+...

you know where to get the full song? reply, if you know thanks:)

  • Oh, that's right.

    Uhh... right here?

  • you mean can download the full song here? you sure?

  • No, I just meant you could listen to us playing it if you can't listen to it anywhere else.

  • i'm looking out for the original de. yours not bad actually.

    hahas:)

  • wtf! dude u guys skiped someparts and just mixed some around wtf!

  • what?

  • maybe your version differs from wat they play. they are two types of the same song, by diiferent composers, wat they play , according to the song, is absolutely correct. they didn't skip anything.

  • Theres that baby crying yet again! Signing part wasn't that bad! Can barley hear us trumpet 1 :(
