I was at this show. The best angle of all time IMO. They built it up for so long, and got people so sick and disgusted with the NWO (in a good wrestling way) and teased Sting's return over and over. Most people that never followed WCW or weren't around the brand wars at the time don't understand how huge this match was. It was the biggest match since Hogan vs. Andre at the time, only to be eclipsed by Hogan vs. Rock . Gotta give it to Hulk, no matter how hard he tries to ruin his own legacy

@Csharp7thminor9th It depends on which people your talking about. The internet people were sick of it about 3 months in. Most people were sick of it(in a good way) I just fail to understand how they could BOTCH something like this so badly. It blows my mind how bad they botched this when anyone could have booked this thing correctly. Hogan just is one of the worst offenders when it comes to not putting people over and doing it cleanly.

Unfortunately I'm plagued by it as it's the only way to keep up with things after falling asleep during Raw a lot and never watching SD. I could see how smarks got sick of it because that's probably all they talked about for a year was how they would bring back Sting and it would be better than anything WCW could ever come up with. I just tried to enjoy it. What happened after didn't matter to me then

Watch the match, bro. This match was built up for damn near a whole year & this is the best we got? Sting & Hogan barely wrestled & the ending of this match so anti-climatic. Also the ending of this match was a complete botch.

@SuperKick85 More like 18 months they were building this up. It was the best planned storyline ever and they completely dropped the ball with this match. The obvious ending should have been Sting winning cleanly and winning the belt and ending the nWo for good. Imagine if Stone Cold had beaten Shawn Michaels WM 14 and then they did some wacky shit to restart the match. It would have completely tainted Austin's victory and the beginning of the Austin era.
