@ov3rcl0cked I do like some "static" eyecandy, but that so-called "wobbly windows" effect, and specially that AWFUL flame effect when closing a windows are near to CHILDISH. And 3D effects are particularly useless. You're quite right.

That's the system monitor applet. Just add it from the right click menu - Add to panel and select system monitor

Because gdm is in a rewrite, it still doesn't support themes :(

good they're not rewriting gnome the way they are doing in gdm.

I've nothing against rewriting the gdm, if it's for better its okay.

But they should not release an incomplete version, it's not only about the theme.

The user list at login is a security issue in my opinion.

I actually found a lesson in hacktux, so i got back the normal gdm

I understand that the developers strive to add bleeding edge software.. but yes, gdm according to me was a baad,bad idea

No other *dm shows the users, and actually they all support theming (kdm,xdm)
