  • Daikai-ShinkenOh's helmet resembles a shogun helmet.

  • On the Clawzord that black piece does come off.

  • can you at least review the mogyudai oh come on man

  • Doesn't DaiKaiShinkenOh Look sorta like a Super Saiyan?

  • asdgjklů§yxcbxcnm hzzzdcvbbnbnmbnmbmnbjnhgjmhjhvbnghghgdg

  • eva did you see the shinkenger vs go-onger movie? ther is a combination in the movie called samurai formation 23 formed by engine-oh g12 and the samuari ha-oh.

  • Hey eva when are you going to review PRIS mecha or lost galaxy

  • @TroyTwoFace

Someday, but I don't know when.

  • Also anyone notice how the american version of these zords are so crappy, I understand that there cheaper than they were but seriously, look at the differences between the shinken - oh and the samurai megazord its drastic.

  • Sadly there are alot of people who wont admit there wrong. It pisses me off beyond belief when that happens.

  • @Brentcfunstuff

    Agreed.

  • The Gaoligator from Gao Ranger is a Sentai mecha that's also on scale with it's real life animal counterpart. However, it's the size of an actual baby gator, not a full grown one of course.

  • I don't know if you're taking requests but if you are, here goes one: I did read the reviews of SaintKaiser and WolKaiser. I loved these two toys and I really would like to see them video reviewed.

Tanks for the good work so far and keep going

  • @KamenGatack

I will go back and make videos for them someday, yes, but I don't plan when exactly.

  • so tiny but packs a punch but isnt " Unleashing the powaa duh duh duh"

  • @Desibest

    Huh?

  • sprite bought me here again my girl cousins account

  • eva this my cousins acount so thats that and do u honestly like the daikai-oh?

  • @Desibest

What did I say in the video?

  • the gold thing on the swords are the gold things on the south face.

  • @flamemadragon

    I don't see how that's relate-able.

  • The clawzord worser version can take the helmet off off.I have a clawzord.

  • 17:03 lol. Bow Down To the might of your new king!!! And me...

  • @KingKyoryu1234 seriously ure going with the " unleashing the powaaaaaaaa!!!!!

  • @Desibest Hellz Yeah!!!!

  • The power of interwebs peer pressure. :D I know that you know that we all appreciated it.

  • I completely forgot watching this video when I posted that Chibi DaikaiShinken-Oh. Also, pray to the lord that SOPA doesn't get passed.

  • Question: how much did you pay total for the Shinkenger toys you've got, and how much do you think they were actually worth together? You've commented in other videos that some were too expensive, so what would be a fair price for value?

  • @Steamtostay

    Shinken-Oh: $60 (it IS a triple-changer after all)

    Kabuto/Kajiki/Tora/Ika: $20 each

    Daikai-Oh: $65 (electronics, paint apps, multi-mode, etc.)

Kyoryu Origami: $40 (remold, new sounds)

...and though I didn't review it, I'd say $70 for Mogyudai-Oh (size, motorized).

  • ...err, maybe $80 for Mogyudai-Oh.

  • @EVAUnit4A Thanks for that.

So all up around $325 for the set?

    What about Daigoyou (spelling?)

My cousin's paid around $600-700 for the full set, including Daigoyou, but that's including postage to Australia and nearly three years after everything was released. Does that seem reasonable?

  • @Steamtostay

    No-no-no-no, that would be the ideal prices for all of these, I didn't say that's what I actually paid for them! O_o;

Oh no, I paid a lot more than that to get what I got.

  • @EVAUnit4A

    Oh.

Well, are these toys in the range of products that increase in value immediately after production stops, to justify the increased prices?

  • Also, the valuations you gave - including postage or not?

  • @Steamtostay

No, just the MSRP I would have found acceptable for their features and quality.

  • @Steamtostay

Well, in the case of Shinkenger toys, it was just a popular line that year. A lot of people liked Daikai-Oh and Shinken-Oh, so in the after-market they were really expensive.

  • great review EVA, BTW two things: i was balling when u said "bow down to your new king" and my favorite daikai-oh form is Daikai-oh south

  • @tudershockcurse

Ohh-? Did I ROFLstomp you good? ^^

  • @EVAUnit4A yah u did.

  • you have to hold the button and wait until the magic happens, CollectionDX.

  • You owe ME an apology. You keep yelling at me sometimes.

  • damn Eva get some sun lol. Kidding good review though. I might give shinkenger another chance

  • @yamikai04

FYI, a picture recently surfaces of the Deluxe Fire Smasher (i.e. Rekka Daizantou). So if you're into that weapon, you may want to go that cheaper route (assuming they didn't make too many mods to it).

  • the arms r upside down u shouldnt be able to see where the screw holes r at

  • @cybermike86

It doesn't transform any differently from how I did it, including separating the arms. the only time those arms come off in the series is when they shift around for the Samurai Ha-Oh.

If you watch in the show, there is gold on top in Ebi mode, and blue on the front of the arms in Daikai-Oh, just as I did it.

You're just gonna have to deal with the screws like all of us do.

  • Or if you want to, you could risk filling in the holes with plasticine or something like that, then painting over the top. Of course, that means you'd never be able to undo the screws if you needed to, and it'd probably void the warranty.

  • Hmm gotta love the daikai oh. It looks better than quite a lot of additional ranger mecha.

Oh and never ever get the mougyudai oh. I just saw it's final combo. In three words (and sorry in advance for swearing Eva) giant cluster fuck.

  • @TheDarkmaker01

You think I don't know that two years since it came out...?

  • hey EVA can you review the kyojin DX Daikai-Oh? ............ im joking of course but good work I love all of your super sentai reviews whether it be mecha or role-play weapon

  • @rhysjonsmusic

    Thank you.

  • @EVAUnit4A Can't you review the Daibouken?

  • @emeraldine13

I could, but I've got other stuff to do first.

  • @EVAUnit4A What are they?

  • hey i was wondering if u can make me have a job at cloection dx?i have watched al your vids dude!

  • @ethanpiersall

Gotta talk to JoshB about that. Ask him over on CollectionDX.

  • do they pay your for this?

you could change for the minute XD

  • @titandiego2

    Watch the credits again.

I volunteer my time for CollectionDX; they do not pay me and never have.

  • in america it was called shark zord

  • What are you talking about???

  • @Titaniumconvoy

Oh, this guy is an idiot. He's talking about the debut of the Kyoryu Origami in Power Rangers Samurai this last weekend. They're calling it the Shark Zord. What THAT has to do with my Daikai-Oh I have no idea.

  • Oh ok cause I was very confused since in America Dai-Kai oh is the Claw zord

  • @EVAUnit4A I thought a Dinosaur Zord.

  • The helmet for Daikai-Oh, and Samurai Hoah, are either based off a Shogun or an ancient Japanese God of some sort. I'm not sure which one or which particular deity, but that's what they're meant to represent from what I've heard.

Ika Daikai-Oh's face is probably based off one of the more demonic looking Kami, most likely Raijin, the God of Thunder, Lightning, and Storms, since it uses lightning. That's my guess anyway.

  • @Godzillawolf1

Nice try. But so far as I'm aware- and I'll admit I haven't looked too hard into it- there isn't too much mythological symbolism in the Origami line. PLEX and Bandai tend to go either one way (heroes) or the other (villains) with that kind of stuff, and the Gedoushuu are already that mythology-based character type. If this was Kamen Rider, I might have agreed with you stronger.

  • I only have two points to say and there is no need to respond.

    1) In the American release, the point in the centre is used to change the head modes.

    2) I think the helmet kible is mainly meant for the Samurai HaOh.

That is what I want to say, even if you already know it.

  • @SandMan29331

Yeah, I knew both of those things. (People don't seem to realize I already know a lot of things because it happened two years ago!) But I thank you for voicing them anyways.

  • Thinking about what you said re: kame and saru origami. Fully agree, thinking of three options that could have worked.

    1) attach the kame/saru to the ratchet joins on DaiKaiOh. Then fold the gold/blue/orange hinge on the claws to 90 degrees, and they could have been feet, with the ryuu and kuma's heads folding down 90 degrees into the gaps in the ebi's claws.

    2) some sort of way of merging the ebi claws with saru and kame origami as extra armor?

  • 3) Swap saru/kame with ebi's claws, then pull out shishi's legs about 30 degrees, open the claws to 45 degrees, and manipulate the claws so that the main 'fist' part is directly behind the saru/kame hands, with the lower claw parts directly above the shoulders, and the top part of the claw sticking out at 45 degrees.

That also works nicely with rotating the six-leg parts back 45 degrees and attaching the ebi swords; you get a nice crown look between the eight legs, two swords and two claws.

  • Isn't G12 from Go-Onger the biggest combo mecha?

  • @DoctorX41794

By component-count, yes. By physical dimensions, not really.

  • Your videos are very good keep it up

  • @ArtofModeling

    Thank you.

  • GUNDAM!!! Wing Zero Custom got a little spotlight :3

I love that little joke using the Super Tigerzord and the Gorai senpujin

Glad to know you also know that Lobsters are in the same family as Cockroaches... not many people know this

    overall, great review again eva

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

    "Mega-Tigerzord", "Gourai-Senpuujin".

  • @EVAUnit4A

    >.< OK my bad for the fuckup with the Super Mega thing ^^' I haven't said that name in god knows how long... but to be fair you CAN spell Senpuujin as either Senpujin or Senpuujin...

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

No, you either spell it "Senpuujin" or "Senpūjin". And since most people can't recreate the "ū" on a whim...

  • Galaxy Quest reference ftw

  • @rayne21x

    NEVER GIVE UP...

  • Whats the over/under that he gets the Mogyudai-oh? Any I got 20 bucks that says he does cause he caves to preassure. Any takers? (Joke) lol

  • @skyfire001

I haven't gotten any pressure to review Mogyudai-Oh because either no one bought it, or they don't care because it's a $180 brick.

  • I am liking the mode reviews separate from the commentaries. I have no problem watching two quality videos from one of my favorite reviewers on the net. Also, I am really liking the "video introductions" (as I have come to think of them) utilizing footage from the show in question. I think they set up what is to come very nicely.

Thanks very much again and I am off to cdx to read the text review.

  • The top of the head block is only removable on the Power Rangers Samurai Claw Battlezord...

  • @GokaiSilverTv

Two people already made that comment... =|

  • @EVAUnit4A sorry, too many to read thru :P

  • @GokaiSilverTv

Don't have to *read* them all (I certainly don't!), but scan quickly through them to look for keywords.

  • @EVAUnit4A fair enough ^_^

  • Will alterations be in the text review? I think it just hit North American markets but im still interested. If I had to take a guess though, its probably heavily altered due to the fact that the Samurai Megazord is heavily altered.

  • @redflagwaving008

The Deluxe Claw Battlezord is a completely different toy, yes.

  • It turns because when u change faces it is connected to that "peg" soif u see for sure take off the helmet (with the fan or eka legs) and change faces and thet will turn

  • @FANTAGIANS353

Umm... no, that's how it works on the Deluxe Claw Battlezord.

  • You mentioned how the Shinkenger mechs do an Ohranger when they combine. It's ironic that both shows have same ranger color scheme.

  • @BoukenCrimson

    That's not irony, that's coincidence.

  • @EVAUnit4A Either way, it's cool to note.

  • @BoukenCrimson

    Mmm.

  • >largest DX sized

    so.... G12 anyone?

  • @POKENAR

I SAID that Daikai Shinken-Oh was the biggest MEGA-class combo, not ULTRA. Engine-Oh G12 is an ultra-class combo, a completely different league.

  • @EVAUnit4A well sorry, i don't know talk, i just take it as:

    normal

    big

    bigger

    biggest

  • @POKENAR

    It goes like this:

component (individual sub-mecha controlled by one ranger)

standard/first-level combo (basic hero robo, basic sixth ranger robo, etc)

super/mega (combos involving more than one separately-sold robo)

    ultra (top-level combination)

  • Magiranger?

  • @letsplaythatpokemon

    What about it?

  • You told me (Drizzable, letsplaythatpokemon) back in 2010 that you would review Magiranger this year

  • @Titaniumconvoy

I said I MIGHT review it. I don't lock any of these series down unless it's a sponsored toy review, and I would have said the same thing in 2010.

  • Well will you review it next year?

  • @Titaniumconvoy

What did I just tell you?

  • Sorry, not the best reader

  • @Titaniumconvoy

I am not locking down any schedule on when I review ANY toy UNLESS it's a sponsored item. If I do it, it'll be all of them at one time, and I'll do it on a whim.

  • Good review dude, glad you finally got this one.

I originally just got this and Shinken-oh back in either 09 or 10, do like the pair.

Though you should probably stop saying "I'm not going to review X" that way people won't keep asking expecting change.

I mean just look at the number of Mogyu Dai-oh comments now. :P

  • @InfernoGuy87 I mean just look at the number of Mogyu Dai-oh comments now. :P

I know, I know... -_-; I was so pressed for time that I forgot to record a segment about not getting the Mogyudai-Oh. Well, hopefully I won't be badgered about IT for another two years like I was Daikai-Oh...!

  • @EVAUnit4A

you know you just jinxed yourself by both saying that statement... and reviewing DaiKai-Oh... everyone's going to want to see you make that god awful, DISGUSTING looking Cluster-Fuck-Megazord... I'd take G12 over that piece of crap any day personally... especially if said G12 is combined with Engine Shogun (Or however/whatever you call it >.>)

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

Engine-Oh G12 VS. Samurai Ha-Oh? That'd be an interesting battle to see. Funny thing is, if Samurai Ha-Oh can keep from getting seriously damaged for more than 6min, then they win by default.

    "Engine DaiShogun". -_-;

  • @EVAUnit4A

    I was close >.<

And how can it win by default? I've barely seen far enough into Shinkengers or Go-Ongers to understand ^^'

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

They say it practically within the first three episodes of Go-Onger- Engines cannot survive in their full size in Human World or else they will rust to death. They can only last six minutes before it starts afflicting them. (Matter of fact, a few mecha battles revolve around this.)

So to prevent this, they separate their bodies (Engine Casts) from their souls (Engine Souls). THAT is why they need human partners- so they can be restored to full size when needed.

  • mugyudaioh?

  • @pqcomics

    No.

  • 24:20 is that ur dog making that noise

  • @BeigomaStudios053

    Hahahaha- someone noticed! XD

No, I don't have a dog. I made a small burp right there. It was so subtle that I didn't re-shoot the segment, and I left it in.

  • were those bigger than the supertrain megazord? i forgpt how big that was

  • @JJxSHIPMASTRxx112695 Supertrain Megazord is bigger, but doesn't count because it's just the five Rail Rescues. The Lightspeed Solarzord is the one in the same category as Megatigerzord and Thunderstorm Megazord/GoraiSenpuujin. And that one is smaller.

  • @DetectiveBarricade

    You are correct, sir!

  • @DetectiveBarricade

Question, where world the LifeForce Megazord add up into this whole thing?

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

Some mecha systems don't have an ultra-class combo even if it's the end of the line for them. While all series before ZyuRanger are not qualified, many after it also don't fit the requirements (Sanshinshou, Car Magic Vehicles, INET Mecha, Seijuu, Rescue Mecha, Emergency Mecha System, Power Animals, Pat Vehicles, MagiMajin, and Gosei Machines).

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme That one is...difficult to place. The toy itself is the same as the Lightspeed Solarzord, outside of being black and gold, but the show treated it as just a single unit rather than the combination of several. So it probably doesn't count.

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

The Lifeforce Megazord isn't a common *combining* standard-class robo. So since we never see it separate, it can only be considered a standard-class mecha, not a combiner of the mega-class type like the Lightspeed Solarzord is.

  • the face looks like gurren lagann's

  • HLJ I believe usually has Mogyu Dai-oh on sale every now and then, I think it was on sale recently and someone got it for about 80 something or a bit less. The black part pops off on the clawzord as stated before.

  • @destiny13777

They have that piece of crap on sale often because no one wants it... just like no one wanted the Tensword, and no one wants the Gokaileon buster

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

    You are correct, sir!

    "Gokaileon Buster"? O.o?

  • @EVAUnit4A

Gokaileon buster = GOKAI galLEON Buster... it's an abbreviation I've heard used before and I find it easier to say than saying the whole name

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

Ohh... I haven't heard that one before.

  • Will you ever get to reviewing PR Zeo/Ohranger stuff?

  • @VZMkII

Dude, did you even bother scanning through the videos before you asked that?

Wait, you don't even need to answer that because I already know the answer.

  • @EVAUnit4A

Ok, I see you reviewed Zeo Megazord. So how about Super Zeo Megazord or Pyramidas?

  • @VZMkII

    Wow. Just... wow.

  • @EVAUnit4A

Ok. NOW I see the others PR Zeo. Sorry.

  • @VZMkII

.... idiot.. go back and look

  • The helmet reassemble Ancient War General in Japan have the crazy art headgear deco. (That's why it is Shinkenger!)

Wait until you get the bull unit. (It is another G12)

  • @sixshotx

Oh, I know all about Samurai Ha-Oh.

  • @EVAUnit4A

Why is your own comment flagged as spam O.o

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

...Why is one of yours? =)

IDK. I think one of the YouTubers has a grudge against me, because many of my comments in other CDX reviews have also been marked spam en mass. Obviously the coward won't name himself or say outright that he dislikes me for fear that people who DO like me will come to my defense and beat the $#!+ out of him.

  • This gives me hope for Samurai Ha-oh, I would love to see you struggle with that >:3.

  • @6thhokagephil

    don't get your hopes up

  • Are you going to get Mogyu-Dai-Oh?

  • @AAarcher221

Are you kidding!? Me pay almost $200 for that useless brick?? What possible reason would I have for that!?

  • "To To Higashi" I think "To" is also east because in the word Tokyo, the kanjis are split as "To" and "Kyo", meaning East City.

  • are you going to get the bull?

  • @zoroark555

Are you kidding!? Me pay almost $200 for that useless brick?? What possible reason would I have for that!?

  • @EVAUnit4A lolz sorry...

i hope you get the dragon origami, isnt it just a remolded shinkenmaru?

  • @zoroark555

    It is a remold, yes.

  • @EVAUnit4A so why exactly do you want it lolz

  • @zoroark555

    It amuses me some.

  • @zoroark555

It's not a dragon, Kyoryu translates to Dinosaur... so it's Dinosaur Origami, we already have a Ryu Origami which is the leg

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

Looks more like a dragon to me, even two years later... =\

  • @EVAUnit4A

Yeah but Remember, Kyoryu Sentai Zyurangers = Dinosaur Task Fors Zyurangers... Kyoryu Origami uses the same kanji that the Kyoryu in Zyurangers uses. Trust me I even thought it was a dragon till someone slapped that knowledge into my face.

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

I knew it was a dinosaur all along. I CHOOSE to think of it as a dragon even though we already had the Ryuu Origami.

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme ...dont correct me I know its a dinosaur but i like dragon better

  • the spinning is for ha-oh (spelling)

  • @yourevilmaster

Mmmm, no. Because the Ika part on Ha-Oh's chest doesn't need to spin; the zen symbol on top of THAT does. So, again, why does it spin on Daikai-Oh's chest?

  • WOW, Carrygator is dusty man.

  • @birca04

Good eyes. To save space on my shelves, I store all my Engines in Engine-Oh G9 form. ;)

Now, are you gonna comment on the video or not?

  • @EVAUnit4A haha, the only thing I need to say is Great review, and I appreciate the hard work you put into these video. I really don't have a comment because I agree with pretty much everything you mentioned. ( btw, I sent you a PM on your EVAunit4A youtube channel )

  • @birca04

    ...still waiting for that PM.

  • @EVAUnit4A hmm, sorry, I guess it didn't go through. I sent the PM again on to your Evaunit4A channel.

  • The top piece of the daikaishinkenohs head come off on the american clawzord so that might have been where you saw it

  • @renouncedhero

Oh really? Huh, I must have saw that when I was researching the Daikia-Oh, and then forgot which was which. Well, thanks.

  • They're long because you give us as much detail as possible- which is good, especially when some fans are determining whether or not they should get a certain product or not based on your views.
