  • this is awesome ! thank you for sharing it

  • What kind of dumbass goes across a swaying bridge on the very tip of the surface of a river that's moving extremely fast with a dirt bike huh let me think YOU

  • Holy crap. I'll bet after that experience, you feel as if you can do anything!

  • The kid was a BEAST

  • HTFU and twist the throttle!

  • Oh heck no. Not me, Jack. That would be a no-go for this girl.

  • ...meanwhile in dirka-dirka land,

  • I might walk it, but on a bike? No way.

  • Bloody hell, put your foot down in a gap too and you're screwed

  • Excellent mate! Big Bo**ocks to do that. Check my vid of a rope bridge in thailand

'exdreadproductions - crossing a ropey bridge'

  • We are going to a global project in April 2012. Where are you locating? I think we are in the states begging to mid of June. We need some coordinates for the whole S. America. (if you get in to facebook and join the 53k charity ride) you will see the countries we are going through. Any help would appreciate.

As far the video I didnt see the wheel barrel. How did you carryied your balls m8?

    Great staff.

  • You're a braver man than me, Gunga Din.

  • BEEEEEP No me Gusta!

  • damn , did you see that kid at the end of vid, that was messed up d. -

  • I am spending a couple weeks motorcycling around Colombia this summer.

I am wondering where the bridge is located. Is it on the road heading down between Popayan and San Agustin or is it north of there going from Tierradentro and Popayan? I will be riding through the same areas in Colombia.

I got a real kick in following your trip videos. Well done

  • @nairbydennek The bridge was just after Tierradentro on the road towards San Agustin. I understand that it was temporary to replace a bridge that was washed away so I'm unsure if it's still there. It couldn't have been too far from here: N2 30.023 W75 58.037

  • its got wires on the side..... if it didnt thats one thing.... but it did....

  • Epic!

  • THAT WAS SCARY, U FALL, U R MOST LIKELY DEAD, WITH THE RIVER GOING BY!

  • @vjnio your capslock is on.

  • THAT WAS SCARY, U FALL, U R MOST LIKELY DEAD, WITH THE RAIN GOING BY!

  • Glad you didn't have a kickstart?

  • You sir, are my hero. Are you still on your trip or have you finished?

  • I've just arrived in Colima, mexico and it's now only two weeks until I re-enter the U.S. I think I have about another 4 months of riding left in me. I'm glad you appreciated my moment of madness down in Colombia!

  • thx for sharing, glad you made it safely.

  • hell I coulda wheelied across that bitch

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !!

  • I nearly shit my pants watching that! fock!

  • Graham, loved your whole series. This was heart stopping stuff. Much better than Charlie and Ewan as they have superb support and backup. You should be making adventure documentaries for Discovery.

  • Hey, I was wondering if you could upload this as 720p either, this video is worth it.

  • @FazerAddict Hi, I dont remember if I replied to you on this... unfortunately the helmet cam I recorded this on was only standard definition so I can't upload in 720p.... it would've looked good though :-)

  • I've been riding for years and I wouldn't even ride my bicycle across that. You sir have some balls of steel.

  • Qué miedo esa pasada!

  • What's bigger your balls or brain? You made it though, CONGRATS.

  • Bah it was just a bike. I though he was in a car at first. Worst thing = bike goes for a swim, rider clings to ropes and pulls self back onto bridge.

  • You could have ridden every mile prior to and after crossing this bridge crossing on tarmac and no one would have argued with you terming the nature of the trip "Adventure Motorcycling." Cojones grande.

  • @westvleteren10 LOL Gracias senor

  • Now, why are you crossing with a motor bike?

  • I dont get it. Is this a suspention bridge? It looks like its a couple feet above the water the hole way across, Is it suported in the middle? Either way good vid you got balls thats for sure!

  • I'm not that brave.

  • F**K

It would have been worse if the water was lower I think...that bridge is quality engineering!

  • that was really crazy brother

  • @edgarcorrea69 It was a moment of madness. I did have the presence of mind to hit "record" though :-)

  • @easyg1409 I got dizzy watching the water running under the bridge , didn´t you?

  • Yet another bridge i would never set foot on

  • Man potty mouth.. :) I would have been saying the same thing I am sure. Awesome video.

  • @Kinley1978 I cringe every time I watch it hear myself talking

  • これは怖いw

  • @sswify 見ていただきありがとうございます。そして、はい、それは私にとっても怖かった

  • you NEED TO courage to pass this bridge estas bien loco amigo

  • Great video but utter madness!

If you dropped the bike you highly likely would have lost your life too. You'd never swim with your motorbike gear on.

I would have done a 1000 mile detour to get round that.

  • @eatmoreraw LOL clearly in hindsight I acknowledge that I probably didn't make the smartest decision in attempting the crossing. Thankfully I did survive even if my underwear didn't!

  • i have the same bike and i would had pass it 1000000000 times in the same time !!!!

  • @saliaris12 I look forward to seeing the video

  • @easyg1409 Oh god... My brother commented with my account again -.- Sorry easyg... My brother is 20 years old and he has to much self confidence -.-

  • @saliaris12 LOL now I quite like your brother! Very funny... and thanks for replying :-)

  • you are crazy dude

  • Thats Crazy Man!! Good for you lol NUTS!!!

  • Shit man, I took my bike over the same bridge, nearly lost it there too. Bridge started swinging, I revved the shit out of it and skipped to the other side, madness. Never again. At least not how I did. Great to see I'm not the only one to do it... ;)

  • Wtf lol cant They built à bridge if i was you i would smoke à sigarett and sniff 2 kilo coke after that omg

  • I also know 2 more things:

    1. Short after you crossed (I guess less than a month) the bamboo bridge was also

    washed away.

    2. There was an alternate route to the other side, it took us over 3 ours (from the bamboo bridge) on my SUV to get to tierradentro; with the new bridge it´s a 30 min ride.

  • Forgot to mention, I wasn´t talking about the bridge on the video, it was temporal and for pedestrians only (well, and crazy bikers). BTW, there´s a new bridge now, 2 lanes and all, several meters over the river of course.

  • @AlbertoV70 You star! My Spanish was good enough then! I was told that the bridge had been washed away and they were rebuilding it, the I was then told I'd have to cross the bamboo excuse for a bridge. I can't believe you know this. Thanks for taking the time to explain

  • Info about the bridge: this place is called "Juntas" (joints) because 3 rivers coming from the Andes meet at this spot; over a year ago there was a flood caused by the river coming from the Huila volcano (Paez river) (active volcano, ice on top ...); the bridge was destroyed by a mud avalanche; not many lifes where lost this time, but when the same thing happened during the 90´s complete villages where destroyed.

  • crossing the bridge is crazy, riding in colombia is nuts

  • should have unloaded and walked it across.

  • this shit is reallyreally good

  • Bet you're glad you didnt buy the 1200 :D

  • Mate, that was great. Isn't it weird that British Television spends so much on bloody period costume drama when that one piece of footage held more drama then 50 hours of the self indulgent twaddle passed off as entertainment these days. Good on ya pal.

  • that looks real good fun, it's what motorcycle adventuring is all about

  • Huevos grandes.

  • hahahahaa WELL DONE !!!!!!! cheers

  • That was the most fucking awesome thing ive ever seen. Lol

  • Wow... I dropped my Yz450 on my leg riding on slimey wet wood... If I had to contend with the river like you did I wouldn't be typing right now lol.

  • amazing! looks like an awsome trip

  • Wow. My hands got sweaty just watching. Once you got started it looked like you were committed, trying to back up would have been even more dangerous. Once across it would have been beer time for me I think. I found this video while searching for "F650GS". I'm considering purchasing a used one. I love the sound of those singles. I'll subscribe and see what else you've been up to on this trip.

  • C'mon! Just gas it! :-p

  • LOL... it would've made for an even better video!

  • @Bakerman1963

    LOL.....EEEEEEEYAAAAAAAHHHHH!

  • I liked the part where you got across the river using the bridge on your motor cycle. *****

  • Why not unload the bike, ride it across, then walk back and forth to get your stuff?

Really, it doesn't take a genius to figure these things out.

  • I realised I'd made an error of judgement as soon as I put the front wheel on the bridge... clearly I had the clarity of mind to press record (!) but I think there's no doubt I didn't think this one through. My mother was seriously unimpressed!

  • Fucking insane!

If you're ever in Houston there's a pint on me...

  • When I get back on the road I plan to head north through South America and then ship the bike to Miami and ride to California... keep that pint on hold :-)

  • Will do.

In the mean time, don't drop the bike in a river.

  • Fack!

  • Nice video, great action :)

    Balance, keyword here...

  • Thanks for sharing. Many of us would never imagine such a thing exists, even if we're fellow 2 wheelers. Shiny side up, great vid.

  • I would have been tempted to kick that little bugger into the river at the end... Sketchy looking kid, I would have been worried about him giving you a shove!

  • You're nuts....glad you got through!

  • Sheer guts! A tip o' the cap... and the pint... to you!

  • Just let me know where I can redeem that pint and I'm there ;-)

  • Feck me! And I thought I'd ridden in some dodgy situations!

  • Outstanding! My compliments sir!

  • Excellent vid!Do you have a website or blog?

    Mick

  • Found the website.

  • Balls,.You has them.

  • what?? no cheering??? madness - i'll cheer for you: rah rah rah!!!

  • Respect .

  • You have big balls! But once committed there was no going back. We can all enjoy this knowing that we don't have to do it because you already have.

    5 stars for this vid!

  • Good job keeping it together...you crazy man...lol We all have those moments when we get ourselves into a predicament that we cant back out of...thats a doozie.

  • Your're a brave-crazy rider!

  • ... or stupid! I just spoke to a friend who travelled the same route but somehow he was already on the right side of the river... I believe I may have driven past the bridge I was suppossed to crose a few miles back down the road. Ooops!

  • Pretty fast river. Piranhas? Or just crocodiles?

  • No just stupid gringos on motorcycles!

  • That is true adventuring spirit. Really out there and putting yourself to the test! :)

Makes my Thailand adventures look tame that's for sure!

Starred, flagged and blue peter badged :)

  • Trust me, crossing this bridge was a mistake, I just had the foresight to turn the camera on! Still some postives have some out of my adventures... I now LOVE tarmac!

  • I'll drink to that!

I had a dilema of whether to cross a similar bridge across a small canal in Thailand, glad I didn't choose to cross there! I'd of probaby ended up falling in!

  • massive balls

  • Yeah but look at that river. She's flowing pretty good you'd be in for a long maybe deadly ride.

  • Yep, that river was pretty damn quick. What you can't pick up on the video was how hard it was to concentrate on the actual bridge with fast flowing water beneath you. Your eyes are drawn to the movement which made it difficult to concentrate... I still had plenty of time to swear and curse though!

  • 'kin big jessie. Open up and go for it!

  • LOL

That's what a lot of my mates said to me, if only I was that confident!

  • Just kidding :)

I think you did rather well crossing that deathtrap at all.

  • No worries, irony understood.... I pissed myself laughing when I read your repsonse

  • I would shit myself...

  • seems like you are having the trip of your life, CHEERS ! -from a Colombian, by the way, Bienvenido a Colombia you crazy bleep!!! Lol

  • Gracias... I´m a little worried that I´ve mis-represented your wonderful country by videoing the aftermath of a drive-by shooting. Colombia was a delight to travel in, I felt completely safe and the people I met were muy sociable.

  • exactly, you have to follow basic guidelines, dont go out to bad areas, specially late, keep valuables out of reach, most importantly just a low profile, if you dont follow that you can be in washington dc, brooklyn, or visiting colombia and you put yourself at risk....

anyway great seeing your awesome video...ill be in colombia in january for my semi anual vacation. cant wait!

  • HOly crap.. now that was something...

  • Are you filming this with a helmet cam? Can you tell me what kind it is?

  • It´s a VIO POV1, they´ve recently released a POV 1.5 with a wide angle lense. If you search on th einternet you should be able to find a dealer through the VIO website. Good luck.

  • Oh my goodness, I can only imagine the cool weather, sound of the water, the moment your stomach sinks as your feet slip just an inch and then get traction on the wet wood of the bridge. Im sure the video captures a fraction of what that felt like. Good job. I'm going to go wipe my backside now. Thanks for sharing.

  • Damnit, I just peed myself.

    That was some scary stuff!

    Best of luck!

  • I pee myself every time I re-watch it... what was I thinking!

  • Wow it take balls to be in the middle of nowhere and do something like that. Something goes wrong out there, and there's no 911 to call for a rescue. Good luck on your trip!

  • You're right, there was no one to call, in fact I nearly turned religious at one point!

  • You could have called to 123. In Colombia that number works...

  • Estás un poco loco, tío...joder.

  • easyg, I've just started following your tour, I have a 1200 GSA and ride it is some dirty old places, but that traverse made my stomach turn. Good on you for pushing the limit, ride safe.

    Take care,

    ElG

  • Thanks for the comment and I´m glad you´re enjoying the videos. At the time I felt like there was no choice but to push on... you may have picked up on the fact that I wasn´t too happy about it!

  • So, please tell me that you were on the correct road and didnt need to back track.. no "beinvendios a Venezula" I pray..

  • I've since heard from someone else that there may have been another road I could have taken but the locals I asked directed me to the bridge. They probably assumed that becasue I had a bike it would be no problem crossing

  • Oh my god!! I would have shit myself quite severely!! Well done for surviving that one! xx

  • Er... I did shit myself quite severely!

  • I'm suprised the bridge didnt give way seeing as you weigh more than your fully loaded bike!! Good to see the local youth get the fook out of the way for you when you got to the other side. You should have given the street urchin a good ol' fashioned style shoeing when you got to the other side and posted that on youtube as well. Also, you should be used to drive by shootings from your Lewisham days!!

  • That was crazy man!! Keep going.

  • Thanks dude... next stop Ecuador

  • you're a total loony! or the bravest dude in the world. not decided which yet!!!!! glad you're still in one piece ! x

  • I'm still in one peice and glad to be back on tarmac. The bike needs a little TLC though and my nerves a re slowly recovering

  • Comment removed

  • mental - watching that scared the crap out of me!

  • and me too!

  • Holy BLEEEPing BLEEEEP!!

    (Great video though)

Fred - London School of Samba

    :0)

  • Fred, you're a BLEEEEEPing star... thanks for the comment

  • Jesus, that would have scared the crap out of me..! Well done..!

Look forward to the next adventures of Brainrotting,

    Ride safe

    Stu

    Glasgow

  • Thanks Stu... they'll be a brief clip from the driveby shooting I road into in the next episode... sounds far more dramatic than it was but it ended a bizarre day of riding

  • I don't think I'd have the balls to cross that bridge. Props to you sir! Excellent video as always Graham. 5/5.

  • Even I'm sh*tting myself when I re-watch it :-)
