  • PEOPLE CAN BE SO JUDGEMENTAL WITH OUT KNOWING WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT ARE YOU A LOCTICIAN JUST CUS U DO UR HAIR 1 WAY DOSENT MEAN THAT THE OTHER PERSON IS WRONG ANY WAY LOVE THE STYLE ITS VERY NICE AND I PERSONALY LIKE SMALL LOCKS

  • hey i love the style.. thank u.. wut did u use to retwist her hair with that has such a nice hold?

  • Her locs look great! I look to the day when mine are that long..nice style

  • you dont know how many times I've watched this video! Locs look great and healthy! awesome!

  • I have hair texture that is not fine due to the spiral curl but is not coarse either (staying away from the "good" and "bad" since that seems to offend people). I do not have thick hair but because of the curl, you might think so. I have had locks for about a year and a half now. When my locks are freshly twisted, they are just as thin. As Rinny2002 stated, it's the texture and the volume the hair has naturally. I hate to see people criticize when they don't really know.

  • Why does she tie the locks. wouldn't it be hard to get out or the knot lock?

  • well i have short loks how can u style it?

  • that look very nice, keep up the good work ms lady. can't wait until mine get that long so i can do something like that to it. stop hatin people cause ur dreads are wack doesn't mean u have to dish out negative comments

  • that was amazing. ur a badass stylist man

  • Beautiful. Simply Beautiful! I cant wait til mine get that long...=0)

  • how do these people knw if it's tight ? it's not your head shes styling , and if you dont like it .... oh well, DO YA THING MAMA . BEAUTIFUL LOCS by the way

  • Very Pretty!

  • damn she fine

  • Nice

  • Very nice. Extremely neat. Check out my video of lock styles. "np locks"

  • man those locs a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oo-o-o-o-ng lol

  • pretty!

  • Nice

  • Very nice, work those hands! Stay blessed ; )

  • damn very nicce

  • This is very pretty.

  • this is the style i've been looking for .. great ... thanks..

  • what did you use to retwist her locs?

  • can someone plz tell me the name of this song

  • wake up by alicia keys

  • Your new growth looks great but, the rest of the loc looks damaged

  • Do you have locks? This is the appearance of locked hair. Her hair looks great.

  • He hair came out sooooooo damn nice good job!

  • What happens when the hair grows? Does it have to be completely redone or can you just pull it so it looks good again? this is so intricate!

  • Umm ... Could we get a 2nd Songsz ?? LOlsz ... NiiCe Do !~! ... My HaiiR iiS strong ... ii MiiGht try thiiS {iiN a Few Yearsz ... ii Jus started MiiNe} LOlsz

  • That's nice. Does anyone know what I can use to stop the itching? I'm 2 months in to starting my locks and I can't wash my hair for another 6 months.

  • You should've washed your hair after 4 weeks. Pls wash your hair ASAP. It helps in the locking process. In the meantime use witch hazel and saturate your scalp and wipe off excess.

WASH WASH WASH and use anything to clarify your locs cause i'm sure you have a lot of buildup by now...

    Hope this helps

  • Good looking out

  • @Teranga21 I have sister locks. That are very light. If I do updo's will I loose hair too?

  • @uniqueqt2 The key is NOT to wear updos too often or make them so tight that it looks like you have a facelift LOL.

I only do updos once every few weeks and I make sure they're not too tight cause my hairline doesn't take well to that much tension. Maybe if you do them but loosen the 2 front and back rows on your hairline, you won"t weaken those delicate babies

  • witch hazel

    dry shampoo

  • @rawgameplay thats kinda gross..ive had my dreads for like 6 yearss i think...you need to wash ur hairr...thats wheree ppl get stereotypes that "dreadheads" dont wash their hair!

  • damn that is to tight

  • CREATIVE AND BEAUTIFUL!

  • If I did that I'm sure it would break my hairline.

  • I agree! It looks painful and too tight. I thought I saw the girl wince in the beginning of the video.

  • this is what damaged my hairline permanently wouldnt recomend it the retwist itself is already pulling and thinning out the hair and then on top of that to braid it and add that extra pull is hairline suicide

been growing mine since 01 and my hair line was fine until the updos and other braided styles now i just grow mine naturally without any retwisting and i wash em every 4 to 5 days - WATER LOCKS AFRICAN HAIR AND MAKES IT NAPPIERjust pull the roots apart and you're good

  • I agree...these styles are pretty, but the less you manipulate your locs, the healthier and thicker your locs would be. Styling is nice just dont overdo it.

  • This model has similar hair texture to me that is quite soft. This means that when you do a retwist even with a fairly large amount of hair it will look thin. Mine are the same so i have combined my hairline with my second row. My locs were all started even at the same size and due to the rear texture being extra soft they are thinner at the back and may need combining. If you look at the end of her locs they are not that thin they plump and fill out like all locs eventually do.

  • Pretty! I hope mine come out like yours. Do you interlock your dreads or palm roll?

  • VERY pretty!

  • pretty but it looks so tight! are they tight?

  • look like dey bout to pop

  • Her locks are pretty. Great Video thanks for posting.

  • To: Rinny2002, I love your locs! What type of locs are they? How do you maintain it? How much did you pay to start the locs? You look like you have a perm. How big are teh locs?

  • ouch

  • who is that singing.. nice song.. please respond,thanks.. hair looks awesome.

  • alicia keys

  • what products do you use to make her locs shine?

  • love it her locs are so nice

  • Eh... She was wincing while you were pulling the edges but it was worth watching... THANKS

  • Yes, everyone doesn't have thick hair, I've had locks for 3 years and mine are thin, gray and healthy.

  • the style looks very good i was quite impressed. true i thought da locs were thin but everyone has different sized locs. but great video. her hair looks great

  • Hungry for hair. hungry to be natural, with out so much pulling. They will get much thinner than what ya gwan do? Anywho the style had flavor.

  • her locks have been this way for years. they are very healthy. What are they hungry for? Not one of her locks has came out. Yall have to realize that not all people have thick hair. There are different textures of hair. Now whats scary about that?

  • @Cindees Um, Okay, first of all, their called SISTERLOCS. Do your research. Sisterlocks are skinny naturally. I have skinny locks and Im a guy, and my locs are NOT unhealthy and they havent broken off either. So dont come at this guy without the knowledge. Asshole!

  • Wow these look like they hurt....I'll never twist my hair that tight, they can break off...but It looks good on her =)

  • looks painful. but looks good too!

  • I don't like this...locks should be full not this thin. These locks will eventually snap...she is pulling way too tight!

  • It looks a bit painful like whr you first get braids, corn rows or micros put in.

  • i looks so nice!!! i wish my hair was that long....

  • THAts really hot!!!

  • I h0pe u dnt get dat style 0ften, ur hair will eventually snap

  • thats what i would be afraid of! dreads do break off when they are tooo thin!

  • u are a master loctician...WOW!!!

  • that would hurt my head ,OMG

  • what was that nasty thing sumwun put in front of the camera at 3:21-3:22?

  • lawd...you are a mess... that was the stylist bending down to look at the front of the head...her hair is in an updo style.

  • @ napturaldisaster: didn't realize she had those spike curlers in her blonde locs until you mentioned she had it in an updo...lol!

  • lol....that is someone's head. that was another person with locks getting their locks rolled up with foam dreadlock rollers!

  • well thank u 4 tellin me! the only thing this other fool did was try and tell me off! if i wanna know something,i'm gonna ask, napturaldisaster!

  • Beautiful!

    -Beloved

  • this looks nice but twisting makes it skinny eventually it will bust away

  • her hair looked bomb!

  • ddam dat shit on point i wanted ta know why would dreads pop?

  • Alica Keys- Wake up

  • what song is that?

  • I *think* he means, at least I hope, she has fine hair as opposed to coarse.

  • her roots look kinda weak...i would be scared of all that stress on my root if my hair was like hers.......but it looks good tho

  • i was thinking the same thing

  • try to answer some of these question,,,whats up with you just ignoring us

  • why is her dreads so thin and whey do you tie the locks use small rubber bands in stead and you palm twist too much easy up just twist the roots and allow her dreads to to get thick. maybe twist once a monthe and again just the roots she looks ball head. i have dreads for three years and would hate if my dreads was that thin. rethink the way you care for her hair.

  • her dreads are not thin. she has a nice texture of hair. they will never be thick. she is not bald at all. thanks for commenting.

  • nice texture?

  • what do you mean by

    "nice texture"

are you insisting that there is a BAD texture?

I wish we did not look at ourselves as BAD all the time

  • thats HOT

  • Ashay Peace & Blessings. Listen to the song people when are we going to wake up? The Creator has blessed us with naturally beautiful hair. Many try to be us and we need to learn to love US!!!!

  • they are not small. she has a nice texture of hair so her dreads will never be thick.

  • the thing I worry about dreads is that dreads do get thinner as they get longer due to the weight pressure thats is being pulled on your root base of our hair, so if here hair is this thin wouldnt it get super thin as it reaches like my dreads length or longer, b-cuz I have a technique to keep my locks the same size..

  • I agree, thats why I started combining locks as they got longer. Currently I braid the thin ones together and band it with black rubber bands. If theres a better way let me know. My roots lock together fast and are MUCH BETTER..ends are still somewhat braided seemingly locking but not quite. ANy suggestions???

  • really?? what's technique do u use to keep ur locks the same size? mine are pretty thick, but i kinda worry about the ones at my hairline... my hairline is finer than everywhere else, and she parted kinda small there.

  • wow men do wdonerul jobs on hair.i would prefera ale to do my hair over a woman neday..they kno how woman shud look

  • your hair looks banging

  • what is about Alicia key's voice that I don't like?

  • ermm I dunno.. maybe you just have you clear you hears properly.. she's pretty good at what she does..

but man, them locks are loooong.

  • What products do you use? that is just beautiful.

  • ohhh ok my bad. but thats not flat twist either, at least in my opinion...i think it as simple as the hairdresser is styling the locs, i dont know think there is a particular name for it. they just take the dreads and twist and pull and tye it up somehow.

if i see a style i like, what i do is "print screen" and it makes a picture of your screen, study the pic and try to recreate it myself or just take the pic to the salon if thats your thing.

  • Yeah, I tried that for a little while but I'm going to take it to a loctician and ask them to show me how it's done. I'm sure it's really as simple as it looks but for some reason I can't recreate it.

  • This is great! I've never seen canerow done like this..where did he learn to do that and is it actually canerow he's doing or another technique?

  • i think you mean "cornrow" and thats not cornrows. he's just using her dread locs and twisting them into another hairstyle

  • LOL! No, I do mean "canerow". My parents are West Indians, and that's what we call it. Actually, UK blacks either say cane row (since that's what our forefathers were mainly dealing with in the Islands) or we say cornrow, since that's what a lot of our family in the States were dealing with.

So, is he flat twisting then? I really can't make it out. I'm so impressed and would like to use this technique on my own locs.

  • I never realized why cornrows were called cornrows until the moment I read your comment. And that makes so much sense. You wouldn't call them corm rows if you are a cane growing country.

  • This looks great. I'm going to try this with my twists. Great job!!

  • She just made that look waaay too easy! *smile* It's beautiful.

  • Thats a man doing her hair.

  • what song is this?

  • Wake Up by Alicia Keys

  • Your hair looks good how many years old are your locks and i can't wait till mines grow that long but i have a long way to go.

  • yOUR HAIR LOOKS NICE

  • Thats my cousin. Vid with my locs is coming soon.

  • I love it. also I like how the locs were started with long sections. I wish I could redo the front of my hair like that.

  • whats the name of that song playing?

  • Wake Up by Alicia Keys

  • Nice updo good job.

  • WOW!!!!

  • man dude wicked with the dreads

  • awesome work!
