NOBODY is given briefing on all secure information... even if one has a top secret clearance it does not grant access to all top secret information. A NEED TO KNOW must be demonstrable... and the person must not only have security clearance of that level, there are subsidiary clearances which must be possessed as well which do not come simply by being elected.
