effects and the lengthy riffs on a theme in songs, such as The Fog or Between a man and a woman. Listening to the album, I feel like I am in a marsh looking at these things happening around me- the video of The Sensual World, the fields of 'Never be mine', an autumnal Halloween night watching witches and rockets. Like a fine wine, it is a both subtle and powerful marination of her earlier and later style up to that point and it always feels real, womanly, private and fresh.

@fergusil This woman's work, a piano-led song (like the later Moments of pleasure) was not really typical in style to the rest of The Sensual World album (although it could be said to share a theme of relationships). I regard The Sensual World as my favourite Kate Bush album. Whereas Hounds of Love had lots of songs with imagery about the outdoors, even when The Sensual World does too if feels more 'inner'. There is a wonderful atmosphere to it created not just by the Trio but by the sound
I love Kate so much and the Trio is truly amazing this song is very moving. David Gilmore's tone is shit though his contribution to this song is a negetive one.
The song is like a rollercoaster of sound and fireworks, all blended together magically by the one and only Kate Bush. This song actually made the hairs on my neck stand. Brilliant!!
One of the most truly unique artists of all time. This track is absolutely spellbinding on every level. Thank you for posting this. I will have to subscribe to your page.
Ah! :D! I found it again! It's the intro that really gets me. The juxtaposition between the background vocals, to her own singing, like they were battling emotions with each other.
This is songwriter/singer who should have gotten much more attention and fame. She puts most of the female singers to shame. I can understand why David Gilmour wanted 2 be her producer.
DAMN!!!!!! Great effin song!!!!!! Kate bush, David Gilmour. Hell, words to describe are so useless, all you can do is feel. Don't be ashamed if it chokes you up a little bit. I'll admit the song after "This woman's work" gives me waterfalls.
There's only 1 thing I can think of that's wrong with this song...it's too darn short!!! Beautiful music like this should go on forever! Utterly fantastic! This...is what talent is!
I found myself listening to this song for about the hunderedth or somethingth time, and it struck me... it was short for a reason. Like the comet in the sky, like the mournful girl who saw only a stick on the fire, as they strike the surface... Gives me chills every time it ends, and there's no silence like it.
This has got to be my favorite Kate Bush song EVER! The majesty of the Trio Bulgarka's otherworldly harmonies, the tenderness of Kate's voice, the sheer POWER of the David Gilmour guitar solo...everything's just so...RIGHT!!!! Absolutely amazing! She is an unmatched musical visionary!
My name is Johnny and I love Kate, maybe Symphonyofflowers would give me a good run for my money, but I'm a 41 year old fisherman and love her stuff SO MUCH that I have even chosen "The Handsome Cabin Boy" and "Jig of Life" as my funeral songs......got a horrible feeling I'm gonna die before I get to snuggle up to Kate in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine.......er,.......yeah.
I've loved Kate ever since I heard her first songs in 1979, but as a drummer this my absolute favorite Kate jam tune.. It'sr the only one where she really lets the percussion improvise and be out front. I'd give anything to have played this with her......this and Sensual World - masterpieces. I hope her music lives on in the hearts of romantics and poets forever.
This is not JUST one of my fave Kate Bush songs ever;it's one of my favorite SONGS ever! David Gilmour's guitar rocks beyond measure,& the Trio Bulgarka's harmonies are just otherwordly!!!
To be honest, when I first heard this song, I didn't like it at all. I love Kate Bush and I love her when she's at her craziest but I didn't like this song because of the Bulgarka intro, it just didn't seem to sound good. Now however, it's probably one of my favourite Kate Bush songs.
I don't post a lot but this? I an American who loves Kate Bush and has since 1989! Looks like America doesn't corner the market on ignorance and intolerance after all. Suck it humans!
well, no need to trash the americanos, but let's see, i;m from canada and i used to play this song every night before i went to bed back in 1989.....soo,, not all of us north americano's are ignoranto- anyway, who cares about that- this is another great kate song, and a really good one to do it to....i had a lovely french girlfriend at the time and we used to make love to this all the time- fond memories you know
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I love every single one of you for loving this song... I'm guessing none of you are American, because no Americans have musical taste this good... every time I hear this song I almost cry, with the main reason being that nobody has heard it or given it a chance... and Gilmour makes you forget about Pink Floyd on this song... you can tell he had more joy playing on Kate's music than with PF.
Oops, you caught me at my musical snobbiest, blasting the Americans as usual... and I hope you realize after listening that this is Kate Bush, not Kate Nash. ;)
You're missing the point devil people... if you love this song then you should be pissed just like me that you are just a handful of her fans in a country with 300 million people. Make a logical guess as to what venue Kate would play if she was in your town, and it would be very small.
The trouble with these statements is that I've known PLENTY of Brits who had NO idea who Kate Bush is and PLENTY more who trash her. Then there's my good old Detroit, Michigan, USA "mum" who use to exercise to Kate's "Wow!" You need to stop generalizing about a whole region of people, bigot.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You're not using logic... the reason so many people in the UK trash Kate is because they KNOW WHO SHE IS. In Detroit nobody has been exposed to her outside of around 1,000 people. Her record sales in the UK destroy her US sales. It's simple math, moron.
Just magic, that's all I can say about Kate Bush's musicality, originality, intelligence, feel, poetic skills and taste. One of my great musical heroes. Just magic. And what a fabulous combination with this marvellous trio. "Just" magic as well.
Yes, it definitely rocks! A perfect Kate Bush vision/vehicle ("with a rocket strapped to my back"), David Gilmour's guitar is the perfect rocket fuel driving it and the turbo charged rhythm section (BASS) is the best! The Bulgarian voices make your neck hairs stand on end!
The unique music and original spirit of Kate Bush is a true treasure! Every deeply inspired and lovingly crafted song from The Sensual World holds on strong as one of my all-time favorites from her impressive catalogue! There will never be another Kate!
This is a fabulous track and one of my favourites off The Sensual World album. The fabulous Trio Bulgarka make a fabulous track into something extraordinary.
I didn't discover the 'Sensual World' album until late 2006, but it is strange because this song is truly THE stand out from it, and arguably her best song, yet it's not that well known.
I don't know how many times I listened to this song and loved it. Finally, I listened to the words and was further blown away. Kate is great. If I had to choose someone to represent the human race to some intergalactic cultural council, I'd send Kate. She's the best in all of us.
Tori Amos? What kind of nonsense is this? That picture is of Kate Bush together with The Trio Bulgarka. That picture comes from Gaffaweb. I don't even have any pictures of Tori Amos on my computer.
Whoops. I didn't think it would've been a picture of Tori Amos but it really didn't look like any one else (I even compared the noses). I'm pretty sure that Tori and Kate haven't communicated extensively, so it didn't make sense to me, either.
OK. If you want to see the original picture, go to the "Wow" section on Gaffaweb. It's picture number 389 there. Then you can see for yourself that it is Kate Bush.
Thanks for putting this on. This song takes my breath away- a great part of The Sensual World. It always make me think of both Halloween and Bonfire Night- witches on broomsticks and fiery rockets and, of course, Rocket is the name of a cat and witches traditionally have cats too.
Just for the record, that information is in the description of the video.
Anyway, Kate has had many cats. The first two were called Zoodle and Pyewacket. Zoodle died in 1987, and then she adopted a stray cat who had three kittens. She named them Rocket, Sparky and Torchy. This song was named after Rocket and dedicated to him, but otherwise the song has nothing to do with the cat.
Oh my god, your videos get more and more beautiful and lovable :D
All those pic are amazing!! And once again, you chose a wonder-, wonderful KT Bush's song.. So that the atmosphere here in your video is pure, romantic, delicate and vivid..
effects and the lengthy riffs on a theme in songs, such as The Fog or Between a man and a woman. Listening to the album, I feel like I am in a marsh looking at these things happening around me- the video of The Sensual World, the fields of 'Never be mine', an autumnal Halloween night watching witches and rockets.

Completely. It was this intro that got me obsessed with Bulgarian Choir and IMHO one of the most gut wrenching intros ever.. Pure magic.

Thanks for putting this on. This song takes my breath away- a great part of The Sensual World. It always make me think of both Halloween and Bonfire Night- witches on broomsticks and fiery rockets and, of course, Rocket is the name of a cat and witches traditionally have cats too.

your comments for Rockets' Tail by Kate Bush made me smile, thanks you.

Thanks for additional background info:)
It must be a lucky cat- to be a property of Kate herself!;)

Just for the record, that information is in the description of the video.
Anyway, Kate has had many cats. The first two were called Zoodle and Pyewacket. Zoodle died in 1987, and then she adopted a stray cat who had three kittens. She named them Rocket, Sparky and Torchy. This song was named after Rocket and dedicated to him, but otherwise the song has nothing to do with the cat.

Thank you! I'm glad that you like it. I'm working on videos for "Jig Of Life" and "Hello Earth", but it will take some time before they are finished.
