  • Favorite freakin song EVER! ! ! its just amazing...

  • I love this song

  • Hey check out my cover of this! Ik you'll like it:)

  • I'd have to admit it, I usally don't like cheesy pop like this, but Hootie and the Blowfish haben da irgendwo eine Ader bei mir getroffen. Sehr romantisch, something true straight from the heart. Great singer!

  • I wrecked the replay button. A sad but addicting song. Gets addicting.

  • 1 of the best songs ever 90's ruled!!

  • @ThePhil909

    you ain't kiddin

  • @andrewbrigg1978 no lil

  • Music like this soothes people...I'm a grown ass man and this ones a tear jerker:')

  • This is Truly one of the most emotional and touching songs ever written. You cannot beat Darius Rucker's voice he is amazing.

  • @1997, keep doing you'r thing girl

  • i swear hes singin about me! cryin has made me who i am today. a lot stronger individual thn evr before. recovering frm ths drug addiction has been the hardest struggle bt having music like ths has helped cleanse my soul.

  • Amazing song... was a big part of my life in my journey to stay sober.

  • i can relate to this song wow.

  • This guy is to young fie the song that's all lol

  • How can you people listen to this horse shit. You should all sit down have a beer and feel sorry for yourselves for liking this.

  • @BATOUTOFHELL111 <----------HAS HERPES AND WATCHES CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

  • Great song thx for the post.

  • I can remember all the times I came home drunk and sat in the corner bawling my eyes out... I must have drove my boyfriend crazy at the time.. the only way I could heal was to cry... He never left me and everytime I hear this song it reminds me of the hard road I traveled to get to where I am... I wouldn't change it for the world.

  • best of hootie's songs )

  • Oh, Where have you gone Mid 1990's?

  • Awesome song!

  • love love!

  • Great upload...thanks to my friend FinallyunderstandU for the sharing!

  • right before my daddy died he told me it's okay to cry.. That was a truly tough time in my life. Now when I hear this song I remember what he said and I cry ((=~.~=))

  • @FinallyunderstandU It is always good to cry! Only tirans or Hitlers dont cry. Cause they don't have feelings. A real artist has so much sensors to FEEL life...

An accordionnist that plays always with feelings...and somethimes with tears in the eyes!

  • @AlainProviste55 yes Alain tears many at times but as you advise I smile thru those tears

CHEERS to our tears and rainbow of emotions !!!!

  • @FinallyunderstandU Okidee...:=))

  • i get goose bumps when i listen to this love it

  • this music brings people together

  • this is a very touching song.

  • what happened to awesome music like this

  • <3

  • i miss the 90's rock scene, today were suck with crappy bands like nickleback, buck cherry, and hinder......i can't stand any of it.

  • Much love for this 'artist'

  • Their guitar player played with cowboy mouth on their concert video. It was pretty epic.

  • i'm on a another day and thinking about the same girl crazy , like insane , but i do want to say this it almost makes me cry to think about her .. i can remember her playing this song on the guitar when i first met her ... it was her and i diddn't know it until she was spun out and i was hurt from just letting her run free ........ i'm ollder then her so that is how it is .... i cry ..peace .. ilove you amber lynn .. iknow you'll see this someday... we will meet again and be there together ok .

  • I never understood why people say "I'm ___ years old and I still listen to this." So what? I mean seriously.. It's like you're seeking an award or recognition where it isn't deserved. Loads of people listen to old music. It's not rare and it's not amazing. Just listen and genuinely appreciate it. There's no reason to try to put yourself on a pedestal..

  • @freakishlypeculiar couldn't say it better!

  • crazy , but this song makes me think about this girl i love more then you could love anything on this planet ... she is ten years younger then me and still in the spill of it all ... i weep internally for her ... i long for her touch but i let her go ...... someday maybe . when she is calmed down a little bit ....... we still talk from time time and tease ourselves ...... buut , for now i sit and wait for her ... loove you amber lynn ..peace to you all ...laterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • This was my favorite video

  • OK, I'll agree that this is a good song. But it's not the best in the history of music. To think so shows how shallow your knowledge of music is. No amount of crudity in your response will change my mind.

  • @BANJOTUBAGUY I was thinkin the same thing lol

  • @BANJOTUBAGUY But it is still a matter of someone's opinion. You likely haven't been in the same situations as itsskatied00d so you may not have such a personal relationship with this song. In some people's mind this song could very well be the best. Not saying you're wrong, just wanting to let you think about it and the fact that everyone is differen't.

  • I remember bein in middle school listening to this now back then I didn't understand it that well but as an adult I understand the depth involved and damn they don't make music quite like this anymore

  • This is an amazing song <3.It's beautiful and I love it

  • love this song

  • Good music is like true love. Tons talk about it, yet it is very rare.

  • i listen to Rap and Hiphop. I love this song

  • This songs amazing im 18 but I still think this song is beast

  • 43 people need to give up on life

  • @luke9john they're probably all black

  • @NewsomeFtball09 probably ..lol

  • where the **** did music like this go !?!? brings tears to my eyes even though i cant relate. i miss powerful music like this.

  • Bring back teenage memories. Love it thanks hootie

  • 70's the best! 90's the best!!!!!! music ever. pinkfloyd/gunsnroses/pearljam small examples :)

  • good memories, amazing song. a mis amigos en USA se les recuerda, good people . desde Costa Rica

  • This dudes got the lyrics wrong

  • @RYshinanigansAN Damned right he does

  • 3:35-4:01

  • @FatalKaos uhh. Thank you. I think. I haven't gone anywhere lol

  • im labled as a gothic punk. i love this song. and many more like it. people look at me and think its all that screaming crap. but i love this stuff. todays music sucks. whats with the "screamo"? so people before you put down a guy like me that has piercings and tattoos with the eye liner and nail polish, remember, were not bad people. as a matter of fact we all might have something in common. so dont hate. get toknow some one. ~ Devan Lewis

  • @gothicitachi That seriously has to be the dumbest fucking quote I've ever read. Conforming or labeling yourself to a specific group is just fucking stupid. It's all media driven bullshit and all it means is that you're a confused person who doesn't know their own identity.

  • @jcebartley uhh huh. anyway. this is a great song.

  • @gothicitachi by the way, its prejudice people like you that burn in hell. I know who i am. i grew up in different "styles" i feel better this way. I look better this way. in school i would get along with the "preps, jocks, rednecks" and so on. i'm a great guy to get along with. I'm sorry that you think that way and I hope you get a more open-minded mind set. I'll pray for you buddy. Have a good one

  • @jcebartley Uh, in the quote it says "I"m labeled" as in, by other people, not himself. Pretty sure he meant other people call him that based on how he dresses/acts, not that he calls himself a goth punk.

  • such a great song love it love it!!

  • This is one awesome fucking song

  • I'm thankful to Hootie for making something so beautiful. It's way more than a pop song for those of us who have felt this way. I first heard it literally the day after my own 'her' and I parted ways .. pretty sure it saved my life.

  • ahh the 90s the last generation of good music...

  • @bobloblaw50 that is a very helpful piece of information. thank you.

  • This is my shit!

  • I miss my youth : /

  • Gooddddd songgggg!

  • My guy plays the guitar in the dark with his arm around me in the middle of the night...and we sing the shit out of this song.... good memories...good song :)

  • @brittanylovesemma08 then you play the skin flute?

  • Who is Stipe? I've always wondered about that when he says "Stipe's not far behind"

  • @thaaeroprincess87 Michael Stipe was the frontman of the band R.E.M. It means she was a music fan(particularly REM)

  • TOP ONE HOOTIE,...."TOP ONE!" ...LET HER CRY,....she made me

  • everyone should be able to relate to this in some way

  • great song to drink to lol

  • One of the hardest hitting songs for someone who has experienced the true loss of someone truly precious and irreplacable

  • I still love you Lindsay, Im so sorry about the past, I know its too late now

  • She went in the back to get high !!!

  • reminds me of my lo sis leighann

  • honestly one of the most amazing songs in the history of music. If all music was wiped off the face of the earth and you could pick just one single song to hold on to and show someone what music is, this would be it.

  • @ZoWestMusic it would be freebird for me but this would be at least the top 10 for me.

  • i just love this song

  • LEEETT HEEERRR CRRRYYYY~ LLEEETTT HHHEEERRRR SINNGGGG~

First thing I sang out during the first few words. Haha. I love this soonggg <333

  • I disagree (did I just type slytherin - commenting on today). If you are married, you might understand this song. We all have pain, past and present. Only a strong person can decide whether or not to "let her go" or to "let her cry " The choice is human." The truth in song is that even those we love will be those we let live and love.

  • I broke my best friend's heart twice because im not good enough for her to be happy all the time. I love her and she may or may not love me but I just wanted to make her happy and this song still makes me think of her.

  • @Nickcasey92

How do you know you broke her heart, you may give her a reason to be happy. If she loves or does not love you is a simple matter. Ask her. Do you know how many girls there are out there? Ok, you base your love on a song? dude. Ok lets assume your really pinning for this girl (your not alone, trust me..there was this korean girl -) ok.... first before we begin with the song but I will go there (she is the girl. If there is no other than there is no other). ok, back to the song.

  • the heart of hootie and the blowfish is love and life and nothing else. We all will face both of these in time. Love is the more complicated matter. In this song, we have a girl who is growing up and is ready to leave the family. The song is not specific but most of the time it is about either a boy or occupation. The point is - the parents (not well off) fear she may fall into their own misfortunes. "Let her Cry" is about acceptance. I think it is fantastic because it spans generations.

  • @Nickcasey92 Hi, don't say you're not good enough. The fact you say you love her and that ya'll aren't a good fit for all the time, shows just how good you are.. At least thats my opinion

  • wow.. and i cant tell you why i wanted to grow up

  • @SusieQLan4 I feel the same way.

  • I love this song. ahhhhh good times.

  • Might be one of the greatest songs of all time

  • heard this song yrs ago still like it

  • God I remember listing to this song with my sister all the time. Those were the days..

  • Que temazo!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Gets me everytime...

  • I've always loved this song. I needed to hear it today.

  • Haven't heard this jam in ages, & I still love it. Why can't some of these vocal shows play these kind of jams. Love love love it.

  • Man, what a great song!! I agree about todays music being everything but that....Music. I grew up listening to 70s and 80s classic rock and the songs of today just do nothing for me.

This song is considered music worth listening to just like the other songs from back in the day.

  • I recently broke a good friends heart. Cant give her what she wants and I am dying inside thinking of how I hurt her. This song has been on my mind all day

  • @CarlitosDK I'm sorry.

  • The problem with todays music, is it's not about making music anymore, it's all about making money, and it's disgusting.

  • @xHuzza

  • @xHuzza i agree lol

  • @xHuzza So true man,so true it's terrible

  • @xHuzza Yup :(

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of friends

  • song always draws tears to my eyes...i miss you

  • popular music is always simple n easy to follow, no wonder these guys sold so much good form hootie )!

  • my 5 year old loves this song. Her father used to sing it all the time. When I was pregnant he was sang at local venues and hootie songs were what people liked him to sing. When she was a baby, hootie songs are what calmed her down when she'd cry. both happy and sad memories connected to a wonderful song.

  • Great song! Great band! :) Love all their songs!

  • @trentonblaine1987 A very young 28 heh :P I just found alternative, grunge, country rock, industrial, and metal better in the 90's for me. And so were sci fi movies. But i'm biased because I grew up in it.
