i have a feeling the hero lags so far behind the iphone because the hero loads up most of the flash content and the iphone doesnt. i think flash should be disabled from the hero to make it a little fairer

To return back on the HTC browser without press menu, just press the return button (physic)...

And to cancel the loading, there is a cross at the top of screen (adress bar) so you don't have to press the menu button...

HTC fail at browsers. Good for them for trying to embed flash, but when there is anything more complex than a banner the page scrolling becomes choppy and slow.

I own the sprint version of the htc hero.

the sprint version of the htc hero is smaller mor power full and much much faster online. this being because the htc hero he was using was on 2g.

where as the sprint service uses 4g so its 2x faster.

over all sprint has the best smart phone service.

for starters, all 3 of the phones in this video were using the same wifi network, so all the differences in speed were from the phones, not the networks.

also, sprints hero doesnt use the 4g network. and lol at the " 4g = 2x faster than 2g" its a hell of a lot more than 2x faster.

I think the hero browser wins hands down. You get more value bec it supports flash at same time renders fine. who cares about half a sec lag! can you do a lot in half a sec wait! the iphone browser has some issues, try going to certain websites it can't go.

I'm having some trouble with loading web pages on my Hero. It loads google maps fine but if i try to load a webpage with the browser it loads very slow or isn't coming through at all. Facebook and mail widgets aren't working either :-/

Anyone had this problem and managed to solve it? (i'm using my home WiFi connection btw, everything working on my psp)

I feel as though this was a good try to compare the three phones but it totally fails and is not very accurate comparison. When he switches the phones to landscape he never actually turns the omnia or the hero completely on the side to make it seem as though the i phone is faster. Another thing internet speed is all based on the phones carrier and coverage and if he were to use the hero from sprint you would have very different results. the hero on sprint is way faster than the i phone 3gs

All browsers in this video does not fully support flash as they are unable to play YouTube videos directly on the webpages. Instead, you are brought to the YouTube app itself to play the video. For full flash support, the video ought to play directly from the webpages.

A comparism to new Internet Explorer Mobile from Windows Mobile 6.5 would have made more sense. It is much faster and comes with fully flash support. The zoombar is perfect and faster t handle then the pinching.
