We envy the Thai people who have a father figure like the king. We do not have anybody of this stature in America to look up to! 2. Dr. Simpson was the world's foremost forensic scientist (see Wikipedia entry). His investigation establishes that Ananda was likely murdered. It eliminates all persons in the Palace at the time of the death - including King Bhumibol. It establishes the gun that killed Ananda was not one belonging to Ananda or Bhumibol. Ananda's Colt 45 was found near his bed. But It was tested and found not to have been fired, and the gun that killed Ananda was not a 45 and was never found. (cont.)

On the morning of 9 June 1946, King Ananda was dozing in bed when a gunshot was heard. Ananda was immediately found dead from a single gunshot wound to his head.
