@lexomil17 Miss America is the true prestige, Miss Usa is a model competition. In Miss America you are judged on swimsuit, evening gown, interview, talent and platform. Every contestant is required too have a specific platform they speak on. Miss Usa they only have one question which most contestant either answer very p.c or cant answer at all. Aswell, Miss America is a scholorship competiton too pursue higher education which Miss Usa has none of that

I am in Muskegon right now for the Miss Michigan pageant and have had the honor of seeing Kirsten perform each night during the preliminaries. She is fantastic. It is not just about her voice but about how she presents herself. What a lot of people don't know is that there is an interview that is 25%of the overall score. She speaks very well in public and she has a platform that she is passionate about. Kirsten is a most deserving Miss America and I am so proud that I live in her home state.

The show was well produced and entertaining, however I was disappointed that it appeared too much like the Miss USA pageant. Miss America has always been a glamorous celebration of femininity and womanhood. This was not. Allowing the winner to take her walk down that long runway is what all contestants dream of doing. This winner walks down in front of the stage and back up. How incredibly tacky. Shame on you MAO. And don't mess with their hair and makeup PLEASE!!!

Ah! I attended the Miss America Homecoming for Kirsten this past weekend on Friday and Saturday. And got to meet some of the Top 10 contestants and Kirsten! It was amazing. *She* is amazing.

I saw the "reality check" show and did not know she existed, but during each portion of the final competition, Miss Michigan really stood out like a peacock. Her talent was average, but she won all the other categories and rightfully so. I saw her on Regis & Kelly this morning and she is pretty sharp in every way.
