I am sick and tired of finding out time after time how CTU is vulnerable to terrorists. One would think they are strong enough to actually have credible agents and some kick ass security system. That's the only complaint I have, everything else is pretty good.

Not a great season, taking CTU out was a big mistake, the drama and relational dynamics at CTU is part of what makes the show, to take that out in replace of the FBI was weak. Didn't feel like the same show, I think it was a big mistake to take Audrey out as a character, and making Tony a villian was a bad idea, it took away all the good he did in the earlier seasons and was unbelievable that he was now a bad guy willing to blow Jack up at the end! Poor season compared to seasons 1-5
Hey, i'm thinking about buying the whole boxset of 24. I've never seen an episode but heard it's really good...so would people recommend I buy it? I LOVE series such as prison break, sparticus, supernatural and heroes if that helps to show the kinda stuff I like watching. Would appreciate advice! :D thank you. xx
@Pearlxox i'm a huge fan of the shows u listed (except for spartacus, haven't seen that one yet) and i started 24's season one little over a month ago, it got me hooked, i've seen the entire series already, i think you might enjoy it, but maybe you should buy the seasons separately, so that you wont waste your money if u lose interest after say, season 4 (that's an example, season 5 is pretty solid, hehe)

Ok, after reading everyone's comments, there seems to be a disagreement about whether or not this season was good, so I'm throwing in my opinion.
I thought this season was ok. It started out with some great potential, but seemed to throw some of it to the sharks. In general, the storyline was a little weak, but the action was as awesome as ever. But I have to say, the ending was ridiculously inconclusive.
Season 7 was great. It was more emotional, intense & powerful then the last couple of seasons.
The best seasons were the first four, Season 5 & 7 are good but not as great and Season 6 had good action but lacked originality and had lazy writing that season so yes Season 6 is the worst.
@ChrisNahrgang I think I agree. Season 7 was the first season I watched and I found the beginning extremely riveting. Once they got Dubaku it seemed like a whole knew season, and I didn't like the Juma, Starkwood, Olivia, and Tony storylines that much.
I have since watched all of the previous seasons and would have to say 1,2 and 5 are probably the best.
Tommy Almeida may be the greatest Bauer's enemy...Tommy Almeida used to organize every movement of CTU...that guy is a brain and he knows very well how to play his cards.....(I just finished to watch season 3)
Well--first the FBI no longer needed her services, she went home to get some sleep (GASP) and then got called back to help with some decommish'd CTU servers. After everything was resolved she went back home.
I'm amazed at how this show manages to give every episode a climatic ending that makes you just want to skip the entire week in order to find out what will happen next!
Great writers, actors and story lines. Glad to see Tony Almeida back, sad to see Bill Buchanon die. Annie Wershhing who plays Renee Walker is a hottie!!

I don't like the fact that Tony is a bad guy in this one either. I remember in season 1 he was kind of Jerk at first, but he got better in the other seasons. The questions I have is, is there some sort of twist to this (it wouldn't surprise me in the least, and how is he still alive. I'm guessing he is not the main bad guy in this season. That sucks that CTU is gone. I hope some of the other characters from season 6 are still around. I'm thinking Audrey Rains is out of the picture though.

a ceasefire or negotiate peace, all they want is to KILL KILL AND KILL SOME MORE. By torturing people or doing other "immoral" things shown in this show, the US. is more able to counteract these terrorists and save the lives of INNOCENT PEOPLE.

How the fuck can you call the USA terrorists when OUR FUCKING BUILDINGS were bombed UNPROVOKED and "Terrorism" is not the same as participating in a war or occupying a country. Terrorism is unlawful violence committed by groups that feel victimized by some government whatever. And if you could save 100 innocent children by torturing 1 single TERRORIST, would you?

I agree with you mate, I'm not from america but I think ther best way to get to terrorists is torture. So maybe a few innoccents get caught up so what! At least other people arre safe.

24 is consistently well-written with great acting. So far, Season 7 is really good. There will be twists and turns as always, with our hero, Jack Bauer, along for the ride.

I don't like the fact that Tony is a bad guy in this one either. I remember in season 1 he was kind of Jerk at first, but he got better in the other seasons. The questions I have is, is there some sort of twist to this (it wouldn't surprise me in the least, and how is he still alive. I'm guessing he is not the main bad guy in this season. That sucks that CTU is gone. I hope some of the other characters from season 6 are still around. I'm thinking Audrey Rains is out of the picture though.

Tony's back from the dead! Just like Nina Myers and so many other plots from so many films.
Tony misguiding a jetplane ? Huh...sound very much like Die Hard 2.
Don't get me wrong people, I'm a huge fan of 24 (despite it's has a 100% republican message...of course..it's fox network what would you expect?)
I would like to see more creativity put into it.
