i learned this song very quickly like 1 day and the chorus is the chord then play each note of the chord seperately then play the first and last note of the chord...hope that explains it better

@TheTwifan4life its pretty easy. i also started learning around the same time as you for academical reasons. its best to have a tutor, but if you can't, just label the musical notes, with help of whatever book you use, any book that teaches to play the piano/keyboard will show basic chords, or check on the net. after a while you get used to the notes and metronome and all that :)

you know how on a piano it goes : c d e f g a b then repeats? well an example is C d e f g a b C, those Cs are an octave apart or EIGHT, OCTave, notes apart. i hope that helps. i'm not good at explaining things. if you need anymore clarification, i'm not the person to ask. ha ha.
