  • I've seen a bakelite round the Germans used in WWII at the West Point Museum and it reminds me of that round you were showing. I was wondering if those rounds were actually shootable considering what I saw here?

  • @schizoidboy - it depends on the purpose. the germans used a lot of wood bullets, but there were considered blanks. the ultra light bullets work just fine inside of 100 yards, but after that point they lost velocity fast.

  • I wonder if it has the power to make it out of my Hi-Point Carbine. I want to obtain some of these, use them for shooting varmints that get in my barn. I'm sure at close range they would do the job.

Does anyone know what the velocity is on them?

  • @maybach418 - these are deadly at close range. deadly enough to kill a person.

  • I always get emotional during the high speed camera shots...

  • is it killeble?

  • @MrMuscleMacho - very much so

  • is it deadly?

  • Man those bullets are not to be messed around with. I love the water vapor that comes out of the jug when shooting it. Actually i usually carry water jugs a pretty good distance into my woods, just to shoot at it. I just love to get a reaction from my targets, whenever it be a water jug or a .22lr steel spinner. I love sending the caps of the jug like 30 feet into the air lol. A good thumbs up : )

  • Those are some WEIRD cartridges! Nothing I expected them to look like! I too was really curious what they looked like.

  • is it deahtly?

  • Very interesting ammo indeed. Thanks for showing us.

  • @Jesses001 - no problem

  • isint there a spring kit that allows for cycling those type of rounds?

  • @Killerclown360 - yes, you can install a lighter spring in some weapons. the ammo is $5 for 50 rounds so it's dirt cheap and fun

  • @weaponeer where can you get it cuz I'd never even heared of it b4 now, let alone a place that sells it. BTW does it come in any other callibers?

  • @Killerclown360 - 9mm and 308

    look up military gun supply

  • Looks like a .22 round as far as ballistics..

Except these bullets are - i guess - extremely light, making for a lightning-speed round - that will loose much of its energy in the next 30 yards or so.

  • Awesome!

  • @MegaGevehr - Thanks

  • Thanks for posting this, I beleive I was the one who requested a penetration test with the plastic ammunition. I appreciate the effort you make to show your subscribers whet they want to see. Keep up the great work! =D

  • @skeebert - I think you are right

  • so light it doesnt even cycle the action

  • Interesting round. great camera magic.

  • @celsorod - Thanks

  • Great video!

  • this is bollox u cant successfully practice with bullets that need to be recocked after every shot... and also if it is still deadily what type of training can it be used for?... it wud be the same as regular bullets and probably cost alot more... USELESS.

  • @mikeyduke10 - for your information the US Military uses Plastic Ammunition for training as well as qualification options. the ammunition is HIGHLY accurate and perfect for training. cost? $5 for 50 why burn up good expensive ammo for some short range practice? rifle (308) is around $180 per 1000 and good for 300 yards. plus you can mix plastic with live for added training of having to clear the weapon. 100% useful, and low cost enough you can get to the range more. sights, breathing, trigger
