Hi Juz!! love the fpv video, especially where it crashes in the grass and the kangaroo comes right up to check it out! My queation is , have read the maaa rules for FPV's anf they say it must be flown by 2 gold class club pilots and must be in fview at all times. this seems to defeat the purpose of fpv. I have ordered a quadcopter (lotus t580p+) and hope to get further into this hobby. the MAAA just seem like a bunch of spoilsports. is it a case of what they dont know...????

@GeneticallySuperior1 thanks mate. I fly with a DSX9 tx and AR7000 rx. Range is my only issue. I think if you stay within the DX8's range you should be good to go.

@praytohuey There are a lot of variables. My newest set up adds up to around US$1800 (transmitter, quadcopter, FPV gear). A basic set up, if you do your homework, could cost a lot less ($800 maybe).

Do you have the travel adjustment set to 100% for Elevator,aileron and rudder?

Any expo? and dual rates?

I uploaded a flight a few days ago with a gopro HD mounted. Turned out great.

@Raptor50aus Yep, travel at 100%. Expo is 20% for Elev and Aile, neg 40% for rudder. No dual rates.

I tried to use the gain lead (cruz mode) in the rx but the x330 just wants to tip over left on take off. Even when holding it and spinning up the props it want to tip to the left. With the gain lead unpluged in crux mode it is fine.

I found the setup video from Gaui for the X330 and now my Quad flys heaps better

I now have no expo and 100% travel. Flys much better.

@timwds89 Great penetration through trees etc. and I am beginning to suspect that my video range exceeds my rc range, which would be around 900 - 1000 metres at a guess. The Tx runs cool when installed out in the air and doesn't use much power. Its a pretty sweet set up..
