Holy shit this looks amazing! I love the motion blur, it makes it look so cinematic and smooth. You know Sega should really consider this; it looks better than the hedgehog engine.
This has reallly bad level design. First off the quick stepping path is extremelty narrow, the slightest camera movement can send you to your death. There are also way to many dash pads in two short of areas. Dash pads + borderless loops = bad.
@DoctorCapitalist While I respect your opinion, this is a test, not an actual level. The narrow qs path? I was seeing exactly how far Sonic quick stepped. The many dash pads? Every small section of level is testing something. The one near the first loop is texting how Sonic behaves when he lands on a dashpad from springjumppad.

@SonicKillMario I used intel gma 4500hd And SURPRISINGLY it worked PERFECTLY! no lag, no graphics issues, no lighting issues, nothing. yet i can only run minecraft at 12 fps lol. then again, minecraft = chunks and this = preloaded map
@epicawesomesauceguy You ran MY terribly built map with no lag? That is amazing. Also, Minecraft is almost completely CPU dependent so that may be why it lags more.
@SonicKillMario Not yours... i have failed to run yours... it crashes when i try to load the map.... but the test level that comes with it runs just fine.
Well it's hard to compare the two, Sonic GDK is by far easier to learn and is generally just more polished (i.e. paths, set destinations, the UDK editor) But Sonic GDK is a framework, not an engine. Even though I'm sure it was hard to create Blitz Sonic was started from the ground up, nothing but code. Sonic GDK didn't have to create it's own dll's or grphical engine. And though it's language is easier to understand,
@MrBrandis21 as of now Sonic GDK still doesn't have rails and things that are fairly simple such as character model and animation changing, in-game music, and other things are more difficult in SonicGDK. Both are easier to get into then most think but I wan't using the Unreal editor when I was 12, I was using fragmotion.
I say use both and see which you like better. /rant
@LtheHedgehog I know that Sonic GDK accepts lightmass, it's the included static meshes that don't. It was something like that, there are 2 notes that say something about it on Stuffmap.
@SonicKillMario There is no such thing buddy. The first note was saying that Light Mass was disabled for performace issues and the second one was saying that the geometry on the level wasn't build properly and that precision and simplicity are the keys to Sonic physics.

@jloy2 No, but it's not that hard. Just go to the actor classes and chose the SGDKSplineActor or whatever it's called, place it, and hold alt while dragging to extend it. To make it a light dash path, right click on it and change the archetype to RingActor_Dynamic'StuffMap.Archetypes.RingLightDashArchetype' and raise the actor amount to be proportional to the distance between the detectors (I recommend 5 for most situations)
Change the textures, and you would have yourself a decent Sky Sanctuary!

GDK accepts lightmass, sire. Go to your World Info and checks "Accept Global Illumination", and to change your resolution go to your UDK Folders:
UDKGame\Config\
And open the DefaultEngine.ini
All the way down on the file you shall see and WxH, just change it for the vallues you want to. :)
