That question came up today from another caller, and I addressed it in the Dryer Venting Fourm. see this article title under Flex hose and terminations (Flex hose keeps sliding off, is there a better way to secure). the forum site is dryerventingforum
I have a picture of the tip that is explained in the video.
After you bend out two very small "hooks" or lips, then slide the flex over the exhaust pipe and attach or tighten down on the worm drive clamp.
So you got a hose attached to the wall. What about the hard part, which is getting the hose attached to the back of your drier but not springing loose again as you push your drier back to its place by the wall and the tension builds up because it fails to collapse back on itself? You sort of left all that out of your story - no happy ending. Can't see how I have any choice but to stick with the flexible hose instead of this semi rigid hose.

I agree with the last comment. Same problem. How does one attach the hose to the dryer? It keeps blowing out.
