lol the sun turns into a black hole. I think thats b/c the sensore sees it as infrared or something or the camera thinks its too much so it disables that part of the sensor.

5/5 dude, 5/5, if you get it on black friday, its only $80, but on the downside, if you get the $80 one, you can only record a half an hour of footage, and when you buy it, make sure to download the software update,(this ensures High Quality video every time)

I've been looking at videos shot outside and of nature with the Flip Ultra and I'm wondering how you got such great quality whereas the others I've seen are choppy and the color is burned out by the sun. Is it a matter of being against the sun ? Perhaps more in the shade ? I'm interested to delve into video but don't know much and I of course don't want to go and buy a high price came right away so I'd highly appreciatte feedback. Thanks so much.

It is important to try and shoot with the sun at your back whenever possible, or in the shade. In this case, I shot the video while standing beneath a large tree.

Hey nitsuacrowdsurfer. I've heard the same thing. Flip makes a USB cable so you dont have to conect the camara directly to your computer. I'd suggest getting one. it's better to be safe than sorry.

The sun shines Ultra Violet rays, so on a camera it appears Black, or very dark purlple. The outer ring of the sun is visibly purple, though.
