  • oh how cotton wood stinks cutting it

  • Looks like you are set up there. I have been looking into buying my first mill. Just as a hobby. I have 19 acres of oaks and a little pine. Wanting to saw up material for a cabin and shed. Been looking at a woodmizer LT10 model, but in my researching phase. Your mill looks very proffesional. Also that's good to know about the cotton wood use as flooring. Thanks

  • Thanks for the nice comment.

You'll enjoy using your trees to create you own lumber.

  • Thats crazy :D I just go to Home Depot :P

  • How well does cottonwood hold up on a barn floor, if you know for sure, and how long does it take for it to start rotting?

  • They say cottonwood is one of the best woods for barn floors and lowboy decking, because it is soft, but tough. The horseshoe cleats and machinery tracks bite into it, but don't cut it. If it is off the ground, it will last for decades.

  • All right. Sounds like a good thing to use it for then! Thanks a lot!
