I read on the specs that the Minimig's processor runs at 16 MHz. So, does it have improved performance over the original Amiga 500 processor (running at 7 MHz?)
Why SD? The Compact Flash card format is essentially an IDE/ATA interface. Interface to that would be exceedingly simple. Maybe the MiniMig should come with a multi-format card reader.
And a clockable 50MHz 68030. I'd really like to contribute to an AGA bounty. $200 right here.
Incidentally there are 68000s that clock to 33MHz. Moto stopped promoting them that way, wanting to emphasize ColdFire instead. I hope the MiniMig guy knows about this.
Problem with minimig though is, it doesn't have 2 Megs of chip and 8 megs of fast ram, and there aren't sockets for 4 joysticks. Also, it should have a flicker fixer too.

Shame there is no way to add a floppy drive or CD Rom :(
RetroRepair 2 years ago
But you can use SD Cards, 1GB+, enough to store all your Amiga floppies, and with the ARM Controller it's even better check the video, Thanks.

Yeah I know I have one, it's just a shame to lose the floppy drive sound ;-)

I am sure someone will come up with a trick for that! :-)

And: is it possible to increase the RAM?

Might you be open to building something to dovetail with a laptop Minimig project?
Is an AGA Minimig planned?
SaganAppreciationSoc 3 years ago
A Minimig laptop is a possibility, at the moment the coders are trying to sort writing to SD-Card first and some compatibility issues. Thank you.
