  • WHAT A TOTAL CUTIE PIE

  • He is great, he succeded in bringing the linux desktop to the majority of pc users, making an easy to use desktop exactly as people needs. I disagree with the cloud computing though, I think that each user should have and keep his personal storage permissions and privacy. Cloud computing is much...big brother computing, permitting some big companies to control the whole story.

  • Awesome nice to hear Ubuntu will work on all dell hardware. Dell and Ubuntu are a great combination.

  • he looks so sad at 4:38

  • I am the only person who thinks that Mark Shuttleworth is very sexy? Jajaja.

No, really, he's a linux hero, a philantropic person, and a handsom man.

  • @PerErik87 YESH ... YAY !

  • GO MARK!!!!

  • @complangc troll is obvious... "one of the driving forces behind the software you use" HA HA HA... "ubuntu is a poorly executed debian fork" tsc tsc tsc... "creating a distribution isn't all that hard. Especially if you pull most of your code from Debian.."

your statements are as stupid as they could possibly be... go get a life...

  • Could subtitles? At least in English, I think I understand a little. My language is not English and I want to know what Mark says.

    Greetings

  • ¿Podrías subtitularlo? Al menos en inglés, creo que voy a entender un poco. Mi idioma no es el inglés y me interesa saber lo que dice Mark.

    Saludos

  • complangc your comments are sooo constructive you should create your own distro! LOL!

People like you do nothing good for the Linux community. You just complain and divide the community more and more.

  • On the contrary, while you may just be a simple end-user, I'm one of the driving forces behind the software that you use.

  • Not to mention that creating a distribution isn't all that hard. Especially if you pull most of your code from Debian.. LOL!

  • Well, let's see you do better then. The Free Software community doesn't need assholes that take sides. There are no sides, everybody works together. You can pick any system that you think it's best, and help make it even better. If it were not for people like you delaying progress with stupid comments and discussions, GNU/Linux and other open OS would already have change the pc market for good. But we'll get there, in spite of your kind.

  • Wow. How great, you really motivated me to use Debian with your great knowledge.

    Stupid fanboy.

Are you using flash? That's non-free evil software you can't install that in your FOSS OS, can you?

  • I'm using an open implementation of Flash instead of Adobe's proprietary plugin. Nice try though.

  • lol! you name has ubuntu in it. Why so negative to it then?

  • 1/5

he didn't change shit. ubuntu is a poorly executed debian fork (that still pulls from debian testing on every new release)

And that isn't even touching the fact that Ubuntu is a non-free OS. Ships by default with non-free components and LOL Ubuntu One being closed source

    gg

  • @complangc

who cares if UbuntuOne is closed but main thing is that base op system is open, she made Linux a lot better and easier than other distros. Software installation is easy on Ubuntu like on Windows that you download .deb and that's it.

  • Linux isn't an operating system, it's a kernel. And you SHOULD care that UbuntuOne is closed, one (if not most important) reason for running a GNU/Linux flavor is that it is free of proprietary software.

Oh and guess what that deb extension stands for? Oh that's right... Debian. Way to give credit to Ubuntu for something they didn't do :)

  • cool

  • Has anyone else noticed the length of the interview is 8.04? :o)

  • o_O

  • 8.04 was the last ubuntu LTS build.

I just thought it was an interesting coincidence.

  • Things are getting interesting around Lucid indeed.

  • Finally a new theme for Ubuntu... I can't believe it :D

  • A great man... He changed the face of Linux.
