Who says they're not? and before anyone goes into the whole, "We've never seen evidence" crap, I would like to point out that any evidence furries leave behind could easily be mistaken for a regular animal's. And to qualify the "never seen them" quote scientists like to use think about it, if you were a sentient furry and humans outnumbered you and feared you would you show yourself? It's like Yoda said in star wars, "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering."
