How would you insulate the walls. I love the concept...I just want to see it more thought out and understand how it could come to be a livable home...I definitely think it's feasible though and that we should pursue it.
I always considered zoning & building codes enforcing "height limits" to be useless and counter-productive anyway. They hamper progress and, together with those regarding setbacks etc, promote sprawl.
Ficus only grows in warm areas, what do people on colder places use and do the walls leak? How is that resolved? I'd like to see this concept utilized within the next few decades. Then we will see what "organic architecture" *really* is.
@PaXx - why would anyone possibly think that fucking about with genetics isn't stupid and evil? can u make a tree from zilch? no, so u don't understand genetics enough to mess about with it. don't post dumb shit to me.
@PaXx - plus, if u could make a tree from zilch, just some starter molecules, then u obviously wouldn't need to GM / GMO any existing lifeforms anyway.
@PaXx - what would u do if the some robots from a future timeline used time-travel to come back to this time before they were entirely created, and told u the same stuff i'm telling u. is that what it would take.
Restoring industrial hemp to its rightful place in agriculture today will return much control to our farmers, and away from the multinational corporations that dominate our political process and destroy our environment. These capital-intensive, non-sustainable industries have usurped our economic resources and clear-cut huge tracts of the world's forests, given us massive oil spills, wars, toxic waste, massive worldwide pollution, global warming and the destruction of entire ecosystems.
I just wonder how people will react to this. The designs could be considered kind of strange for some, but seeing how people react to the concept cars that are shown in various auto shows, they might like this for a house, since it would make them feel like they're in a futuristic science-fiction movie.
hemp homes hemp fuels hemp FUELS!! hemp cars hemp clothings hemp biodegradeable plastics ( zelfo ) hemp furnitures hemp papers hemp paints and all of them are eco-friendly, BETTER efficient products that if we grew in america legally.. would make us FILTHY rich... no more importing..... no more imperialist american elites. yes we cannabis. legalize not legal lies.
research/advocate industrial hemp alongside medicinal cannabis for health liberty and economy! and ecology! research the commodities we are not taking advantage of economically
this is really eerie - in a good way....i got de'javu for a moment then realized i've seen similar things in my dreams - I WANT TO PUT them out there, give people my contributions so that they can build off of - the only problem is i don't even understand python programing. It's just like those dreams where you hear the best music that doesn't exist 'here' and you try to replay it and...just don't know how.
Please,
Anyone know what program they use for the 3D? I herd Rinosaurace was the best
es interesante pero poco demostrativo el video, deberian poner un proyecto ya realizado o al menos en etapas y decir en que zonas, que arboles y en que paises es viable.

There are a whole lot of Banyan trees, just one example, that would make some great treehouses.

This is great! I've just got some questions: When can I get one, where can I get one, and how much?
BTW, I saw this on The Colbert Report. Who else did?

Es un aporte para la ecologia de la tierra.
Pero creo que la revolucion en cuanto a la arquitectura "verde" es al genetica, ahi es donde se va hacer la diferencia.
