What I did was use the feet up on a box shown in the video: it supports your weight, allowing you to practice at say 50% or 75% of full weight until you can build up your strength, flexibility, endurance and PAIN TOLERANCE in the false grip.
Once you can do a few chins, try to do weighted chins with the false grip.

the false grip can simply be explained by rolling your wrist so that it is on top of the ring rather hanging from your palm or fingers

the false grip is tough to explain without doing a close up or even more verbal/written. It's just me and a tripod, so i have certain restrictions...

This may be one of the best training videos for a M-Up ever. The only thing it lacks is a good description of a false grip. Fantastic work though.
