  • Sublime.When's it from?

  • Silence please. This music is divine. Rogier <3

  • toots rules!

  • This is stunningly beautiful..Toots clearly at the top of his game. I only wish the video was better, but the piece is gorgeous. Glad I got to hear this, thanks.

  • @ElizabethGS One of the most beautiful pieces of easy jazz, at equal hights with "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. There is another video (different recording) of Toots playing this piece on youtube (better video and audio quality). Check it out if you like, it's among my favourites.

  • @DrBPhD Thanks!

  • Thank you,Zoccav. I'll try to find it.

  • Just beautiful! What is the name of this song in English, please?

  • This is from Dutch movie "Turks Fruit" (which was elected the best Dutch film of the 20th century.) This is track 1 the movie sound track CD, called "Dat mistige rooie beest".

This track was composed by the deceased Rogier van Otterloo. The pianist on the original track was Louis van Dijk. The rest of the CD contains 11 other top draw romantic-jazzy tracks.

If you're interested, get the original movie sound track and not from the musical (you'd be very disappointed.)

  • You asked for the title in english...

    ...The misty red beast...

also in dutch (the original language, the language Toots speaks because being flemish) it doesn't make sense.

  • Toots in my humble opinion is probably the best jazz player alive today . How beautiful his sound, his phrasing, he makes you cry, just incredible.
