I don't read anyone praising John Hughes. Other than Amelio Estevez I don't think there were any particularly great performances in this movie. Now, before you cuss me out. I like the characters in this movie I think they were represented well. John Hughes creates movies that are so well crafted that the audience has no choice but fall in love with the actors on the screen. I like this movie but the genius is not in the performances nor in the script, it's in the direction.
Amen! I am just wondering, Breakfast Club IS one of the best movies of the 80's and as a 20 years old kid, I missed the decade but I want to make up for it, what movies would I like if I loved this movies and St Elmo's Fire?

I love old classics like this one and Sixteen Candles and Pretty In Pink!!!!!!! Oldies are my favourite <3
