  • God, everything about this video is creepy. The lighting, the music, the guy talking, and when they zoom in on Hanso in the building and he's just staring into space it just makes the Dharma Initiative seem so mysterious and weird!

  • I just now noticed his prosthetic arm. coolness

  • Now explain to me why they didn't write a program to input the code every 108 minutes?

  • @TheEPICtrainrider Because it was the 70's man... DUH

  • @Judicial78 The computer is running a program every time the numbers are entered to do whatever it does. Making a modification to enter the numbers by itself wouldn't have been too hard.

  • @TheEPICtrainrider It's the 70's man... nm.

  • @Judicial78 you don't get it or what, the man proved to you that if they made such a program, then they can do the other (the input one)

  • @houari2009 He didn't prove shit and you are a douche for not getting simple sarcasm.

  • @Judicial78 Listen asshole, it seems that youre the one who don't get a thing !!

After all these replies, you still dont' get it !

go fuck your self, morron !

  • @houari2009 LMAO I am an asshole thanks, and yes, I fucked myself earlier because my girl is on vacation. It felt good. After all these replies you still don't get it!

    U mad bro?

  • @Judicial78 You are a fucking retard, I took their side because I know what I'm talking about, morron !

  • @houari2009 Prove it now for everyone here who is reading, otherwise you are the moron.

  • @TheEPICtrainrider Because if the program malfunctions and doesn't to it then they're all dead. Also they can't even afford a good camera so how could they afford that, haha jk.

  • @spongedan219 Yeah but a computer would be less likely to mess up than a human being plus since the Others were aware of the anomaly situation why did they just leave Desmond down there and leave it to chance that he entered the code every 108 mins?? Considering that it was going to destroy the world you'd think they would have been more carefull....

  • @Datathief100 Desmond would've been replaced by other people but because the DHARMA Initiative was wiped out, he wasn't..... They wouldn't risk letting a computer which could mess up a lot easier than two people could, not to mention it was built in the 70s meaning the technology wasn't as good as todays and had an even greater chance of screwing up. It was a much better idea using humans... Not to mention they also needed people for the subjects of the Pearl station's experiments to watch.

  • @GrinningTurtle42 Yeah even Halowax said in the video that the tour of duty would last for (however long, i forget) but yeah, i know the Dharma Initiative obviously intended to , and were providing replacements. What i should of been clearer on was AFTER the purge were the Others not aware that there was one guy down there who was being trusted to prevent the world from imploding? Now i'm 100% sure that some of Dharma joined the Others before the purge. Surely they'd be aware of the situation?

  • hahaha 1:12 ! this is in Narvik, Norway :D N1CE!! =D

  • Why would they need to enter a code? Couldn't they just press enter, or better yet, have the computer do it automatically?

Why stress the importance of not trying to communicate, when in the 70s that would have required expensive equipment that only militaries and universities could afford?

The Swan was just as much a psychological experiment as a safety measure. That they decided to mix the two is an example of how moronic the DHARMA initiative was.

  • he still has both hand yet looks old cause its makeup. he says in another video he cant get used to wearing makeup. and someone else says it takes ten years off. so why couldnt it put years on?

  • Comment removed

  • the camera adds ten pounds, not take away ten years.

  • "Not long after the experiments began, however, there was... an incident."

The last episode is called "The Incident".

I bet everyone else has already figured that out, but I just got it, like, yesterday.

  • just enter the code! you have 4 minutes time.

    awesome!

  • 4 mintus time , could that 4 from [4] 8 15 16 23 42 ?

  • How come he still has both hands? He lost one hand after the incident!

  • he doesn't have both...the other one is prosthetic :) notice how it doesn't move...hope that helps :)

  • He didn't lose his hand it was just crushed. In this video I don't think he ever lifts his left hand. He keeps it at his side at all times and only uses his right hand.

  • it's a fake hand... you can tell he doesn't use it... especialy when he says Namaste.. you would use both hands

  • So when Michael was supposedly messaging Walt via the computer - what happened as a consequence? Or am I forgetting something really obvious?

  • "outside world"

  • You MUST enter the code!!

  • the intro is just creepy

  • DID any oen else notice that when he says "Do nto use the computer for anything else besides the entry of the code" The quality gets alot better

  • Yeah, it's because it's from a different [authentic] source. Part of the film was taken out and had to be restored into the original.

  • @Hikaru450 The piece you are talking about was cut out of the tape by Radzinski and spliced back in by Locke later on. They found the cut out piece in the Pearl Hatch. The quality is different because that piece had been played far fewer times.

  • @Datathief100

actually they found the missing frames in Station 2: The Arrow . . .

  • @CrashBandicootNo1 Ah, yeah, you got me, you're right. The whole of season 2 was excellent when we were all like "What the hell did they seal behind that Bulkhead wall?" Radzinski's mural was creepy too, showing his deteriorating state of mind as he went crazy from the isolation. "I am in hell" etc etc... Lindelof and Cuse are supposed to be making a series out of Stephen King's "The Dark Tower"... Hope they make a good job of it as the books were fantastic. Time will tell eh? Laters!!

  • That is in fact alvar hanso... i was looking back watching the rachael burke vids, and i noticed that, at the time of her vids... there was a calendar so i froze framed and blew it up... her vids were made in 2002 two years before lost... her last vid captures alvar hanso... your best bet is the jacob is dr. mittlework. he is the genius behind the initive now. not alvar

  • Please explain. I am interested but i have no idea what you are talking about here

  • The only thing that I found creepy in that video was that man they showed in the building at 1:22. Did anyone notice that and could that be Jacob? please somebody respond to my question, I have probably watched this video over and over again trying to figure out who that guy is. Also, there is this weird shadow on the building.

  • the dude in the window? thats penny's dad (cant remember his name)

  • That's who I thought it was at first, but are you sure that's him?

  • You're both wrong, it's Alvar Hanso.

  • penny's dad is widmore

  • dood charls whitmore he is like the main character

  • it must be jacob! (or that embodiment)

  • me 2 man !!

    i thinks its him

  • can anyone tell me somthing about jacob?

  • no but he can speak on his behalf

  • He also seems to age and then become younger during this film and between and out of sync with the other orientation films.

  • Has anyone noticed that every time the doctor introduces himself on these tapes he gives a different name?

  • That's part of the mystery. He also has a prosthetic arm and gray hair in this video, and a real arm and dark hair in one of the other videos.

  • Has anyone noticed that every time the doctor introduces himself on these tapes he gives a different name?

  • "the incedent" is when those people came to the island. (the people who jack calls on the season finally.. and the people who arent who they say they are and so on.) and has anyone noticed that this guy has a different name every video... and they always have to do with a candle. halloWAX... CANDLE... WICKmand

  • omg, your right

that's tooooo scary and funny at the same time.

  • so is hte reasone they have to enter the code like a failsafe or something.........like if somehting goes wrong then the station will self destruct?

  • hmm there are links in this.

they study "electromagnetism" which links to the whole giant magnet thing found in the hatch.

also, "zoo-ology" showing polar bears. this explains why there were polar bears in the island; for experiments. or did walt create them by reading about them in a comic book?

  • the music is so frieghting heh XD

  • He´s so... creepy

  • Creepy

  • Exelent! A complete ORIENTATION film for station 3 GOOD!
