HOCKEY IS A GREAT GAME I LOVE IT.IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE TEAMS PLAYING AGAIN IN THE NHL FROM WINNIPEG,QUEBEC,HAMILTON AND HALIFAX MAYBE SEATTLE WOULD BE GOOD FOR VANCOUVER A RIVALRY TEAM
You really don't know how much this team means to nashville they do great stuff for the community and they do great stuff for all of the kids at Nashville's Children's Hospital I'm okay with you guys making up a new team but no way your little town ain't going to take this team away from us this team is ours to keep here in Nashville.
@conshow333 Okay you don't know who you're talking to. I have been to 15 preds games this year, and tomorrow night it will be 16. I show my support every game look at my videos.
sure YOU do, and i respect that, nor do i doubt that, and thats awesome that you support the best sport in the world, but think of how you would feel if the preds left, thats how the ENTIRE city of winnipeg feels right now, not just the 12,000 people who show up for preds games. simalar feeling in hamilton, although never having a team at least they could fill an nhl rink every single night, unlike alot of not traditional markets
@conshow333 Dude Hamilton is only freaking 48 minutes away from toronto. I know toronto is complaning over a cup that hasn't been won since '67. But look at chicago they haven't won a cup since '61, and there not complaning. And winnepig had there chance and they blew it. We had a chance and we succeded. And it's 14,000 average that we get so don't come crying to me that canada doesn't get another team because canada likes hockey so much.
have you tried getting a ticket to a leafs game? the leafs might as well be on mars compared to most people in hamilton. and winnipeg and qubec failed do to rink problems, wich have now been fixed. and nashville IS doing better then they have in the past, but teams like florida, tampa, atlanta, phoenix ext can gtfo of the league
Yeah I bet it won't be that good of chance to get a ticket to a hamilton nhl game (which won't happen) too. So you canucks (i'm using that word for what its meant) can get your hands off our damn team. And I don't think that winnepig won't get their team back because of the hot run the coyotes have had so your better off trying to find playoff tickets, or locking up season tickets for next year.
@predatorsrowdyfan27 you proved my point, by saying it would be hard to get tickets would mean they're sold out, which is something alot of yankee teams dont get
I don't know if Copps can be "renevated" to NHL standard- it would be like putting liptick on a pig. Copps has seen better days and the building looks like it's been fucked out, sucked out, and looking for a handout....
lol, quit being jealous that you dont live here. hamilton owns you and your mother, so go fuck a goat, faxstax. HAMILTON FTW ! So, peace, shitface cock knocker.
I as a resident of Hamilton would be embarrassed if NHL players from some of the greatest cities in North America see Hamilton. Downtown Hamilton is filled with old abandoned buildings, Dirty alleys, Old graffiti filled buildings infested with bums. Take a walk down Houghton street, Barton. Where would the visiting teams stay at the SHeraton, and then go for a night out to HESS village?? give me a break! I support the move but Fix Hamilton before the media and Nhl players get to " see" it.
nicely said. and eisenberger is saying we are ready? when they show you copps coliseum on tv and pics, yea it looks nice but look at the other side of copps full of bums and abandoned buildings, lets get a team and fix the city up quick
As a hamiltonian and Hockey fan I would like to see a NHL team play here under one condition! Hamilton needs to renovate the entire downtown core and solve their homeless problem. I work in the downtown core and I see it everyday. Drug use and homelessness has plagued the city, just take a stroll through gore park and the downtown core. Bums picking up cigarette butts off the floor, begging, and twitching. Where would the Hamilton coyotes live? Ancaster?
Ontario doesnt need another hockey team you Ballsilly asshole, how about moving Coyotes back to Winnipeg. bring the Jets back where they always belonged!!!
We do not have a team, we do not cheer for montreal. maybe some people do, but we dont even cheer for toronto half the time.. We deserve a team anyway, because we have a lot of people supporting and we're getting the copps coliseum ready.
I think Hamilton should have a team, they would easily sell out Copps for all 41 home season games. I like the Nashville Preds though, I'd move a Florida team, they dont need 2 teams. I'd like to see Arizona back in Winnipeg too, but thats another issue
Canada will get another team again. Balsille by far is the richest man to make an offer for a team. $240 million offer for the team to move the preds out of the Gaylord Centre lmao. Bettman is making a big mistake. Why keep teams in cities where hockey isnt big.
hockey is big in nashville there are lueages everywhere here and its the sommet center now retard watch in the next twenty years there will be players from middle tennessee
yeah cause nashville will be in the playoffs this year nashville is coming around but don't even compare your fans to canada's fans cause we stick by our teams even if they are rebuilding nasville will gain value when the season is done its no longer worth buying someone should go after the team in phoenix they have been there 12 seasons and how many times have they made the playoffs??
lol i love this clip...way to piss off the southern usa lol...but we shouldnt have to target nashville...look at carolina, florida, phoenix and even los angeles. eventually quebec, and winnipeg will get a team, but i dont think hamilton will ever because of the QEW rivalry with toronto and buffalo
"I'm not a minority...actually the fan support is very very much alive here. It's corporate support that we lack right now."
So much for corporate America, Mr. Bettman. I've heard about this situation in Nashville. I'd rather see the team stay than go to Kansas City. I was there a decade ago and I couldn't even find a hockey card.
Meanwhile, I don't think Milwaukee should have a farm team to Nashville. I feel it should be the other way around.
"That's all we've heard from many many canadians since all of this started. I know that BUT it get's extremely annoying to sit and listen to this crap day in and day out."
In all fairness, were cities such as Phoenix, Tampa, Raleigh, etc. clamouring and lobbying to get NHL teams? They were hatched or transferred to these places out of corporate convenience.
Gary Bettman has had nearly 15 years at the helm to realize this huge U.S., NFL-calibre TV contract for the NHL.
"Yet you shouldn't wish that another city loses their team just because the high almighty canadians want another team in Canada."
I, for one, believe the NHL needs contraction rather than relocation. The league never needed thirty teams. The product has become diluted.
With all due respects to fans like yourself, you're really in a minority. Example, Tennessee is not exactly Minnesota or Wisconsin as far as hockey culture goes.
"What I don't understand is why Canadians are so angry at us about this."
It isn't the hockey fan like yourself that the perceived resentment is directed at. It's probably directed at Gary Bettman and the NHL Board of Governors.
"you have already had teams in canada that failed you have 4 teams in canada plus 3 on the border quit bitching"
Kid, the only reason they 'failed' was because they didn't have enough time to build new arenas in the wake of the 1995 CBA...where the owners got taken.
Also, they weren't geographically part of Bettman's wonderful corporate America. Some teams in the sun belt that have lost far more money than the Jets or Nordiques.
Oh, but these are supposedly 'Great, great maawkets'.
Boots said he was hesitant and maybe willing to wait for an expansion in KC instead of buying the team. We are literally going to stay in Nashville for 3 more years after this year. Then we get another 14k...another 3 years baby.
Nashville has 12,000 dedicated fans. I've been a season ticket holder since day one and I expect them to Stay In Nashville! They have done nothing but help the economy and help the entertainment business. Jim Basille would be a good owner, but it would hurt the Sports Entertainment business greatly if the Predators move. Help us Save the Predators! And it's funny how you call the Predators home Hamilton. The Predators plan to always remain the Nashville Predators.
Bettman is just a stupid jew that doesnt want Hamiltonians to have a NHL team because we would provide nashville with so much money and plus bettman jus wants the stupid fucking americans to steal are sport but guess what bettman u r a stupid jew and u arent gonna do what u did to the nba when you ownd it u faggot!
Hey NewScarper, I'll try to answer your questions:
1) The sacrifices have already been made...on behalf of Quebec City, Winnipeg, and now Hamilton. Is this good.
2) Anybody, any place on the planet can fall in love with a sport; but you don't see the NFL going out of its way expanding to Africa or the Arctic.
3) Most people I talk to, in Canada, agree with my position that I do not support the NHL expanding to the deep South. The NHL never needed thirty teams.
"I didn't mean to sound so harsh about our pal Gary (LOL)."
Hey Cowboy, I didn't think you were harsh (lol). I know where you're coming from. I don't dispute a Canadian team winning the Stanley Cup would be reversing the process of hockey evolution as far as Bettman is concerned. It does nothing for U.S. TV ratings.

Why should we sacrifice our entire heritage on their behalf? They don't care about the game and have proven they would rather spend their money elsewhere.
What is wrong with Gary Bettman?! Is he trying to unknowingly destroy the NHL with his ignorant vision that hockey belongs in cities that are NOT interested in hockey? Jim Balsillie is going to be the man to stop this madness and place an NHL team in a city that loves the game of hockey. Hamilton, Ontario is the place to be, people! GO HAMILTON GO!!
Your boy Balsillie probably won't end up with the team anyways you spoiled Canadians. He's rubbed the NHL front office the wrong by jumping the gun on the potential move.
The Preds are staying.
Go to Air Canada or HSBC to see an NHL game.. don't rely on some pansy BlackBerry d-bag to try to get away with it. Bettman brought this team to Nashville, and he's gonna have a hard time giving the franchise to a guy who's obviously going to move it.
Oh I think you're right!! If I had a billionare owner ready a willing to spend billions and gotten the Nashville fans and Hamilton fans fighting over a team (with their wallets) and getting tons of media coverage I wouldn't want a guy like that getting a franchise. *LOL* Get Serious!!
