Personally even though this movie had a bad remake of it also, Yonggary(Reptillan) was better the Zilla because Yonggary actually fought the military instead of turning his back and running.

There is multiple reasons why godzilla himself doesn't. for one because he can regenerate his wounds because his cells reanimate themselves upon puncture or damage. but it's really ironic that they made zilla retreat twice. the 1954 Godzilla attacked once did little destruction. but came back into the city the next night and destroyed tokyo.
@Albertozilla1974 Well Duh I'm not too excited about the 2012 film. because if i dare see something that isn't godzilla and another fraud. im gonna choke the director! But it matters who's writing the screenplay.

@MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 I agree. Toho needs to get back into the Godzilla business. And I hate critics these days. I was wacthing Godzilla vs Mothra,Battle for Earth on TV and the critique only gave it 1 and a 1/2 stars.

But instead of how yongary lives in 2001 version with ckyor. he died like the in the original. I want to see the 1999 version but it's really hard to find. the 2001 one was the version releashed in america. or titled reptillian
@MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 It''s funny how at the part in the original movie, when they kill him, he bleeds out of his ass. I love these older roars and like Albertozilla45 said, they sound like Barugon's. And it's weird because they look almost exactly alike.
@MetalKnuckles509 Very similar. I saw Barugon as some sort of mutated chameleon or lizard. His powers are the opposite of yongary's though. Yongary breaths fire while barugon breaths ice. Also shoots rainbows out of it's back spines. Barugon can attack with his horn but doesn't shoot a beam like yongary.
Yongary only makes barugon's roars for a minute before he dies. when they dump that chemical bleach on him.

@MetalKnuckles509 Well sorta. here's the probelm. the remake version allot of people saw was the 2001 version the 1999 version of the yongary remake is actually like the 1967 film. But because the Cgi sucked in the 1999 first release they did in korea. they wanted to release it again but for american audiences in 2001. But the whole plot is changed with aliens though. yongary came out of the ground in the 1999 version. also he died in that version too.
@MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 Yeah, the older remakes of foreign movies usually did that. Like the original Godzilla, the whole Raymond Burr thing. And the added scenesin Gamera. Toho has pretty much all of the great kaiju, except for Yonggary. I don't understand why he is so hated in the world of Kaiju. And what the hell is with the redesign of him? It looks kinda like Super Godzilla from the old SNES game. You can see some resemblance. The head was really different, though.

Like How the hell did godzilla go from Gray to Purple. he would look allot better in like an acid green. maybe a little bit of like Blue highlights on the chest. Afterall Godzilla's Radiation energy is Blue.
@MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 I think Super Godzilla should have been like blue-ish to make it look like he's surging with energy. But then he would look even more like Spacegodzilla. Yonggary is cool and all, but I don't really like the remake. I just found the movie last night. The original was better, and the remake was made by the same director of the original, he was inspired by the American Godzilla remake but no one wanted to remake the movie, so he made it again. Kind of explains the redesign.
@MetalKnuckles509 Yea i will admit it was pretty cool watching him fight cykor, but there is so much unexplained. like why the heck did they need yonggary if they have cykor? Better yet what the heck is cykor? what is he an alien Bio-weapon? Most likely he is.. since he was able to fight even after his head got blown off. appearnetly the monster acts like it's main body is it's brain or it can attack even with it's parts disconnected from it's body.
@MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 Looks like the director didn't pay attention to his script. Gigan was able to fight without a head in Godzilla Final Wars. And Mechagodzilla did in Terror of Mechagodzilla, but that's because he's a robot. Cykor reminds me of Biollante and Angurus put together. You can see similarities of all three monsters.

This movie was good... I like the remake but I can't stand the terrible CGI. I don't really like the new Yonggary's design either.
