i'll explain. in the NES (original) version of FF3, luneth, arc, etc, DID NOT EXIST. the DS version edited the original storyline of FF3 in that way. square is releasing the characters by their original existences, and not remake characters or spinoff characters.

I don't see why they put jecht in there. he's not the bad guy from FFX. Yeah he is sin but after he turned into sin he couldn't control himself and when he could he always let tidus live and then he wanted tidus to kill him and yu yevon so sin couldn't come back. In my opinion seymour was the bad guy in FFX

The logic is that Tidus hates his dad, often the antagonist of a story (Jecht) is also hated by the protagonist. (Tidus)

You can say the same for Seymour but there is deeper emotion and eternal conflict inside of Tidus for Jecht.

The eternal conflict being a son who hates his father, this makes for a more interesting story.

THATS why Jecht is there instead of Seymour.

Seymour is more of personal enemy to Yuna, Jecht is personal enemy to Tidus, that's why it's Jecht against him. Golbez doesn't appear as evil in Dissidia either, he's still on the Chaos side, but

both of them still end the game with good terms with their Cosmos opponent.
