Do not buy it. Worst desition ever. KINDLE TOUCH DOESN'T HAVE LANDSCAPE (YOU CAN NOT ROTATE THE SCREEN) SO YOU CAN'T READ PDF DOCUMENTS. IN THE OTHER HAND YOU RECEIVE ADVERTISING ALL THE TIME (IT'S A SHIT). AMAZON DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS THINGS. BEWARE OF THIS MERCHANDISING FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking at the demo, It looks like it will take MORE effort to turn a page. I don't know how others user their existing kindles, but i tend to hold my device with my hands on the side and just casually press my thumb on the page button. In fact my thumb usually rests on that button anyway.
It now seems turning pages may now induce a severe case of RSI.
@aviza12 have you touched a Kindle Touch yet or seen how far the letters are spaced. No you have not so you have no idea how comfortable it is or is not. Maybe you should wait and look at the keyboard in real life before you make such judgements. After you try the keyboard, if you do not like it get one of the other find Kindle products and you will be fine! :)
@Fennador obviously, but i have to wait till November to see reviews, and than i'll decide which kindle i'd buy. but one thing for sure - you don't use the keyboard that often (only to browse the store and etc'), so touch keyboard saves a lot of (usually unused) space...
and yeah, i havn't tired the kindle's keyboard (yet), but i've tried many "micro-keyboards". i didn't like how they feel and i found it really hard and uncomfortable to use, so i assumed the kindle's keyboard would be like it:)
iPad killer? I don't think so. This is for reading books. iPad has way more functions and capabilities (and can also read books). Don't get me wrong, for that price and no monthly fees kindle touch would be a great investment if you read books that often. I just can't believe some people are calling it the iPad killer
@FrankFehrle obviously... the kindle touch is an eReader (a device ment solely to read books), while the iPad is a tablet (basicly a highly portable computer without a keyboard).
comparing the kindle touch and the ipad is like comparing an airplane and a car...
@FrankFehrle You're looking for the Kindle fire which is a tablet this is not the right Kindle product. Try doing a bit of research and getting the right product to comment on before making comments.
Because it's not "shiny and stuff"? It has a classic and simple look to it and it doesn't need more than that to do its job. If you want to impress others with your device's appearance look to $500+ ones. Most people will be more interested in its functionality and a small a price as possible if that means simplicity at the expense of useless looks.

Why should this have so many dislikes? It's an ad for a Kindle. So, the description was off, but that shouldn't be a reason to dislike.

This video cuts from the screen everytime someone touches it. Makes me think interface is dodgy.

Meh...I don't really like the looks of it. I am planning on buying a Kindle but I think I prefer the previous version with the keyboard.

@MayteraMarble why? it's keyboard is terribly uncomfortable, especially if u have big fingers (like me).

@FrankFehrle I believe this model is intended to be an e-reader. The kindle fire is a new tablet that you are probably thinking of.

Me gusta más mi kindle 3. Esa pantalla va a quedar toda grasosa después de usarlo una hora.
Ojalá hubieran rebajado el DX.
