  • Wow big woop a freackin shadow moved a tiny bit let's make stupid video about it

  • @bondisback98

    always amazes me they let 10 year olds post on youtube

  • 00:19 lol do you see the shadow of the dude on the right? (penis)

  • shadow distance of 2000 is a bit extreme, you will get shadow pop-ins while outdoors. 4000 is a good trade-off, i found. indoor shadow distance actually doesn't affect shadow quality, but rather the maximum distance at which light sources will be rendered. so if you change indoor shadow distance you will get light pop-ins - very distracting.

  • Hey guys, i just made a fix of my own for shadows, /watch?v=q8xuznG4m5U

    just thought id lend a hand.

  • For a much weaker HDR effect try this in console "SHP 1000 7 7 0.7 3 1 4 1 0.05"."php" in console to see what parameters you modify, feel free to experiment.The default values are "shp 35 7 7 0.7 3 1 1 1 0.05"

  • @Olengher

    ill give that a shot when I reinstall the game.. currently waiting till some fixes are released before I start playing again

  • @sanosuke1981 you mean the automatic logout thing ( playing a game. suddenly you're at your desktop?? ) backward flying dragons etc... most bugs are fixed

  • yes the shadows are better defined but also it makes them to pop out, i think the amount of processing power attributed to shadows is constant so you havent actually changed anything.You must have a frame rate drop by increasing shadow quality, this does somethin else, no frame rate drop, no quality.

  • To disable HDR, if you haven't figured it out yet, have this in your skyrimprefs.ini, mine is at the bottom.

    [BlurShaderHDR]

    bDoHighDynamicRange=0

    [BlurShader]

    bUseBlurShader=0

  • @dannyboy7384

    tried that it doesn't a do a thing on my system

  • i think the skyrimprefs.ini settings will reset if you open the game with the launcher, so make sure you open the game directly from the exe or set the skyrimprefs.ini to read only

  • how do i turn off shadow? it makes me kinda laggy

  • @Gruuten

    in SkyrimPrefs.ini change fInteriorShadowDistance=0.0000 fShadowDistance=0.0000 bTreesReceiveShadows=0 bDrawLandShadows=0 bDrawShadows=0 iShadowMaskQuarter=0 iBlurDeferredShadowMask=0 doing that gives me a constant 60fps with my 560 ti everything else on max and 8xMSAA with FXAA on with injector and 16x anisotropic

  • @sanosuke1981 Cool thanks :) I hope it works. If it does I will... SUBSCRIBE! yay

  • WTF it didnt work, i think it's the render distance, imma lower that because that makes me laggy too.

  • @Gruuten

    didn't work in what way? also even if you turn off shadows change all the iShadowMapResolution values to 512 see if that helps

  • @Gruuten turn ur screen to 800:400 like that. not widescreen. just thst other one =3

  • to get really good looking shadfows at close distances you need to move the shadow range down under 1000 and bump up the iShadowMapResolution but it makes it really unplayable for me with how close the shadow pop in's are. I actually have shadows completely disabled now and just max out everything else with nice fxaa injector game looks great. Hopefully one day a mod or patch from bethesda will come to fix the shadows.

  • sorry i mean 0:17

  • i noticed that at 0:15 one of the shadows turns into a penis

  • it's all in your head. this does nothing.

  • @TheModernReaper It certainly does something, watch in full HD and check out the shadows when he moves before 0:13 and after. But the distance the shadows render at becomes severely limited.
