  • DOSE ANYONE NOW WHERE I CAN WATCH THIS WITH ATLEAST SUBTITLES??? ; 0;"

I cant seem to find it anywhere. . . . . .I just Finished watching Spring and Chaos and now im totally fascinated Night on the Galactic Railroad > w<~*

  • Canadian tv channel SPACE aired this movie SUBTITLED back in the day, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

  • the trailer sounds creepy but the first part [out of 11] on youtube seemed so happy o.o....i hope its not too sad at the end ><!!!! [no spoilers if ur replying to this plz !!!]

  • 3 words to describe night on the galactic railroad:

    Depressing

    Strange

    Beautiful

  • At first you should watch this one and next "bungaku shoujo"

  • This film is definitely without doubt one of the best anime films of all time

I saw this movie and it left me speechless and amazed

  • Great movie, and really beautiful. I recommend it to everyone who haven't seen it, everyone who can think a little while they watch a movie anyway. The story is sad in one way, and happy in another. The imagery is stunning, and the characters is just awesome. Lean back, pretend that you smoke a joint and dive in to an spectacular adventure!

(anyone else saw the triforce in the very beginning of this trailer? fucking awesome!)

  • @kattansikte And the music is just XO

  • OH WOW I love this movie so much. I remember renting it from the library as a child and loved it because OH MY GOD KITTIES HOW CUTE, but I've come to appreciate it for so much more now that I'm a lot more mature and no longer six years old.

It's just..such a beautiful movie. I wish it was a lot more successful, because it most definitely deserves to be.

  • Miyazaki has stated that this movie inspired him, but no, he didn't make it.

  • @skyjadeshe Studio ghibli used to be my favourite animes... Until I saw this. Miyazaki is amazing, but in a different way to this. The symbolisation in Miyazaki is clear and fairly easy to see. The symbolisation in this is so thick I can't concentrate and have to accept that there are some things we will never know.

    INCREDIBLE...

  • Saw it, loved every minute of it.

  • This is not Hayao Miyazaki's work.

This original writer is Kenji Miyazawa. He is a writer like Saint-Exupery or Mark Twain in Japan. 1896~1933

  • When I was in middle school I tried to show this film to my friends. They scoffed at it because subtlety is apparently boring.

  • @MisguidedOpinions

I wish I'd seen it in middle school ^.^ Cats in a story about the stars....the fantasy or dreaming theme mixed with reality.

But I found my way to it eventually!

  • Interesting this film, surrealist style, yeah!

thanks for the video! = D

I've always liked the films of Studio Ghibli *.*

  • this isn't ghibli.

  • 宇宙を明らかに、感じ、表現している。

    人間と宇宙は一体であり同一呼吸であり。

    と。禅と生死を超越した人間の境地。を。表現しているような、感慨と法悦ににた感覚を。

  • This movie was fucking awesome

  • Yeah its a sad anime. Didn't get it at first, and thought this was fun and light b'coz of the talking kitties but it's truly sad similar to Bridge to Terabithia.

Excellent and creative animation and hypnotic music. 5 stars

  • this movie was great, a bit hard to understand watching it the first time. But put everything aside it is an amazing film. Not for kids, very sad cartoon, nice.

  • A very surreal and kind of haunting movie. I enjoyed it a lot when I saw it.

  • I remember this. might not be famous in other countries. But one of the most creative cartoon in Japan.

  • Anybody know a site i can watch this??? Or PLEASE IF YOU HAVE THE MOVIE PLEASE POST IT ON YOUTUBE!!!

  • Has this been released on DVD in English?

  • yes but out of print now.

  • i saw it in english ;'D

  • does anyone know where i can see this?

  • Thanks for this

  • I wish I could find this. I love it

  • Hayao Miyazaki loves this story. All the more reason I want to watch it!

  • Is it the film or the book he refers to? And where can I find Miyazaki's comment on it? Thanks!
