Awesome, it's not easy for anyone to be honest about this stuff let alone a celebrity. I have no doubt that there are sasquatch in Algonquin Park because I had a bigfoot sighting near there when I was 14 (I'm 54). Just caught a glimpse but it was enough to tell me that it wasn't a moose or bear. I was the only one to see it but the others could tell by the soundsize of it that it was huge and were terrified it was a bear. Me I was comparably calm because I knew it was way too tall to be bear!
My friends dad thought he heard a pterodactyl or Sasquatch . He was outside with his dog(mind you he lives in the woods) and heard a terrible screech he ran into the house with his terrified dog. He got a recording on his phone which I heard and it was pretty deafening
Les also tells his Bigfoot story in an interview with Opie and Anthony. He goes into a little more detail. Just search "Les Stroud Opie and Anthony." They start talking bigfoot around 22:00.
Possibly Stroud when he first told of his encounter with this unknown was like a lot of people and a bit embarassed to speak of his belief that it was a sasquatch, so he just normalized the story by saying that he thought it was a momma bear making a warning sign. Why would he fabricate a story that might cause him ridicule?
listen to what Les actually says..........notice stroud never says he SAW a bigfoot or even says he thought it was a bigfoot he just mentions it "sounded like an ape" . why are you assuming its a bigfoot? why not assume its a werewolf or mothman?again in his journal he says he believes it was a momma bear.just more desperation from bigfooters who think another story of a noise in the woods or another blurry film clip is actually proof.it isnt.
Funny that Stroud never mentioned bigfoot in his journal when writing of this encounter. He said he believed it to be a momma bear warning him away from her cubs.
In his journal Stroud says nothing about the noises he heard being a Bigfoot. He said he assumed they were from a mother bear protecting her cubs. Apparently stroud had gotten a little too close. Why do you Bigfooters assume every noise in the woods has to be made by a Bigfoot?
If Sasquatwatcher will allow me to say what I experienced. I was camping in 1994, with a friend, around the Sasquatch Inn, in BC. And we heard a wail/shriek that was deafening. It didn't echo and felt maybe five miles or so away, but it was very loud. If a human did it, they could only be maybe 200 meters away at most, but it was everywhere, and pinpointing it would be hard with the foothills.
My friend thought it was a Coyote attacking a domestic dog. That is not the sound I heard.
I was in an area about an hour from Vancouver. Me and my friend were looking for shrooms, and we heard a god awefull shriek/howl. My friend thought it was a coyote attacking a dog. We had foothills around us and the sound didn't echo. I immediately thought it was a Squatch. We were very near an Inn called the Sasquatch Inn. We were out camping for a few days, but I didn't associate Sasquatch with the area. after it happened my friend was watching a Bigfoot doc, and recognized the sound.
i knew les would have had an expierience hs out there for aweek at a time alone bravest man i know and guess what hes canadian oh yeah. you know he live self sufficient solor and wind powered house off the grid i love it wish i had the funds to do that if he satrts a community im joining
Les Stroud is fucking great, I need his book! I'd like to hear his other Bigfoot encounter as well... No Idea, About The Miss Use Of Words... Sorry... HA HA!
I have been in the presence of BigFoot as has my ex girlfriend. You should interview me about it.

@seymourbbest And he ended by saying it sounded exactly like a gorilla. Everything you say is a twisted half truth or just outright lie.
